Pet care experience
I have been around animals ever since I can remember, growing up with both cats and dogs, as well as a bird! I got my own cat in 7th grade and have been hooked on giving my all to any fur baby I meet. My cat Smokey is now 7, and in that 7-year time span, I have taken care of many cats, dogs, and even worked at a pet store handling many smaller and exotic pets. For years, family friends have relied on me to dog sit and even house sit. I am able to handle all aspects of your pet's needs, including administering medication, which I've done for a German Shepard with severe trust issues. I am well-versed in specialized care for each animal I meet, as every pet has their own wants and needs. I have owned and taken care of senior dogs and cats, as well, and understand that their needs are highly personalized. I am more than happy to personalize my care to cater to your fur baby's needs. I have some experience with dog training, as well! Though I am not a certified trainer, I do know many tricks to help your fur babies with any issues they may have. I personally have a Beagle mix who is 85 pounds who was initially very difficult to walk or train. I, however, was able to teach him to walk next to me and help him stay calm when meeting other dogs. My dog is also a heavy chewer. Monitoring his play when toys are involved is a must in order to ensure he is safe, just as it will be with your pets. I know that Florida heat is very dangerous if not properly considered and will always make sure that your pup is well prepared for any outings by watching out for overheating, dehydration, and anything that could harm them such as wildlife or pesticides. With my year and a half experience working at a pet store I learned many things about each and every dog breed and age, including how important their care is in every stage of their life, and how different their needs may be per breed and age. I also learned a lot about cat needs, including taking care of kittens and handling very energetic kitties. I look forward to meeting you and your fur baby!

If your fur baby has any socializing issues or preferences for one on one time I will avoid any dog or people interactions so that your baby is safe and comfortable during their walk. I am comfortable taking care of pups of all energy and activity levels, as well as pups with specialized needs or medical conditions. I would love to know all about your fur baby’s energy levels and specialized care needs before pickup so that I can plan personalized play for them during the day!
A typical day
When taking care of your pup, I will always account for their energy levels and how much activity they can handle in one day. I would love to take your fur baby to the park to make new friends, or take them on a walk around the neighborhood for close to home fun! Whatever your preference is I will always be able to adjust to you and your pup's needs for the day. I do live close to UCF campus and know a few parks in the area that are very dog friendly and safe for your fur baby to frolic in and have fun. My apartment is also in a gated community and your fur baby will be very safe walking in my neighborhood if needed. If your pup has any specific activities they enjoy I will be more than happy to include those in their active time! I am a very active person and love to go on jogs with my own dog, and am more than capable of keeping up with any highly energetic pups! I also understand that some pups may not have high energy levels and a calm day relaxing in the sun is something we can do as well!

Availability
I am currently enrolled in college and have two in-person classes. I am unavailable from 4pm to 8:30 pm on Mondays and Wednesdays, as well as from 11am to 2pm on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Other than that, my schedule is completely flexible, and I am more than happy to take care of your fur babies at any time.
