Luis About four years ago, we adopted a small dog from the rescue center who had been severely abused. When we first got her, she was in pretty bad shape. However, after months of love, care and understanding, we were able to bring her to a new level of happiness. She had never been away from us for more than a day or two. We had scheduled a 10-day, Alaskan cruise and we didn’t know what we were going to do with her. We searched Rover.com, and found Luis. We first met him in the park, and there was an instant comfort that came from his kindness, and care. We decided to leave our dog with him during our cruise. I had told Luis that it would be very difficult for her, since I believed there would be separation anxiety (for her and us). Luis assured me that he would make her feel extra special. From the very first day of the cruise, Luis sent us photographs, text, and videos showing that our dog was in good hands. This went on for the entire 10 days of the cruise. We looked forward to any communication from Luis, as it made us feel connected to our dog while we were gone. He would leave a little synopsis of the daily activities at the end of each day, accompanied by either photographs, or a video. He took wonderful care of my dog, and I would highly recommend him. He is gentle and kind, and one of the most caring persons I have ever met. Plus he included his wife and daughter in taking care of my dog. They treated my little girl like one of the family with love and affection. Now, I feel confident with Luis caring for my dog if ever I need to go away.
