I give Luis a 110 % rating Score ! Top dog walker.
Luis arrived early to walk my dog. My 83 yr old elderly mother Macrina said Luis was very kind , courteous and helpful when picking up the dog from my mothers Condo.
Excellent attention to detail with care and treat instructions.
My dog Starbear told me she enjoyed her time with her new dog walker Luis and she is happy he is fit and can keep ...

Where can I start with Luis? For starters he’s been incredible with our 2 senior greyhounds. His communication has been outstanding. He’s communicated the small things and called right away for the potential big things. He’s gone above and beyond his job requirements. We’d love to have him back for our next need. Luis, the gals, Allysa, and myself say thank you for everything! You are awesome!

I really appreciate the kind words!

Marathoner with Years of Experience

*please note: For daytime dog walking, I work and am not available Wednesdays to Saturdays, from 6am to 3:30pm.
Ever since I was young, I’ve had a tremendous love of dogs! I love their loyalty and unconditional love and how they’re always there for you. The communication and understanding between humans and dogs is amazing.

I have searched over the years for ways to help people care for their dogs. I’ve ...

What Luis would like to know about your dog

I always try to schedule a meet and greet with you and your dog before I dog sit or dog walk. That way, your pup knows I’m a trusted human friend. Being able to reassure you that my sitting and walking will be as safe and enjoyable as possible is my biggest priority during a meet and greet.

Some information I would like to know include:
-Feeding schedule
-Walk schedule
-Is your pup house trained?
-Does your pup need any medications, have dietary restrictions, or any other health needs?
-Any previous injuries or physical restrictions to consider when playing or waking?
-Preferred communication method and daily photos/updates requests
-Commands or training I need to reinforce?
-Any behavior triggers? Stressors? How can I make your fur baby’s vacation as fun as possible?
-Will you need any other house services- for example, watering plants or taking trash out?
-Anything I need to know to keep the home as safe and secure as possible

I will spend as much time as necessary to discuss all the details with you to ensure an enjoyable time with your furry babies.

When Luis watches your pet

The three pet services I offer include:
-House Sitting for overnight care
-Drop-In Visits where I schedule a time to visit your home to play and care for your fur babies
-Dog Walking for daily exercise while you are away!

House Sitting: When I watch your dog while house sitting I always start by playing with my new friend as much as possible! This is crucial in the first days while your dog adjusts to having me in their home. One thing I can’t help but do is feel sensitive towards the feelings or anxiety of animals. If I sense any separation anxiety from your dog, my strategy is to shift your pet's focus, away from their anxiety, and more towards having fun with me- their new friend! Whether it is throwing around the ball or playing tug-of-war, play is a universal language that lets your dog know right away that I am a fun, safe person who can be trusted. Other than play, keeping a consistent daily schedule is another way to minimize stress. During our meet and greet, I will ask for your dogs preferred feeding and walking schedule. While house sitting I will care for the entire home, not just the pet. If I am being trusted with living at your home, the least I can do is to respect your property and maintain the cleanliness and security that you would expect while you are home. In order to help you minimize any nervousness while you are away, I will make sure to follow your daily update requests. Whether you request one photo text a night, or prefer several photos and updates through email every day, I will follow your request so you can enjoy your trip or vacation as much as possible.

Drop-In Visit: Do you need a visit while you work late? Or need a visit a couple times a day while you are on vacation? Drop-In visits are perfect if your pet needs a scheduled check in while you are away! Every visit will include a short walk outside and bathroom break. During my meet and greet I will write down all the things I need to do during every visit, including feeding, administering medications, and extra play time. Every visit includes updates with photos and GPS tracked walks if we go outside! I will help make your fur baby’s time while you are away as enjoyable as possible!

Dog Walking: As a marathon runner I understand the excitement and joy dogs feel when they step out the door for an adventure! Walks are fun, but my number one priority is safety; therefore, I always ask about your dog’s unique behavior and training. If your dog needs extra space from other dogs or skateboards, I will accommodate your dogs needs. I also love to take dogs to a big park. I usually like to spend at least a part of the walk around trees, running on the grass and smelling interesting smells! I think this keeps doggies’ minds and bodies active and healthy. Every walk includes a report with photos of our time outside and GPS tracking so you can see where we went and how far we walked! Dogs need their daily exercise, and I am eager to help them get a fantastic workout!
