Pet care experience
I started off working with dogs at a kennel near my home walking, feeding, bathing, and training all types of dogs from puppies to older dogs. I also took care of close friends and their dogs at many times. In March 2021 I rescued my very first dog, a purebred Border Collie named Koda. He is the absolute center of my world and I quickly learned what it mean to be a responsible dog owner. I had him since he was 9 weeks old and I raised and trained him to be the beautiful dog he is today. As active and smart as border collies are I do a great job of fulfilling his needs every single day, and your dog’s needs will be too!

Luis has taken care of my dog every time I am out of town. My pup always comes home tired out and happy, and Luis updates me with photos, videos and great communication. My dog always gets taken on a long walks or a trip to the dog park with cuddles and treats after - I never worry now when I'm gone! I would recommend Luis to watch your pet.

No matter how old, young, mischievous, smart, cuddly, etc your dog is I treat any other dog like my own. Respect, patience, and affectionate are just small examples of the values I portray when taking care of other pets. I have plenty experience with crate training and am comfortable with all types of breeds and sizes. That being said I will always adjust to your pets needs while ensuring a safe environment for them to thrive and play in.

The most helpful thing I would like to know is your pets routine. Sticking to their routine and also knowing their routine allows me to know what they are comfortable with and what kinds of things they enjoy throughout at the day at the appropriate times. This allows me to plan out a schedule ahead of time to ensure everything runs smoothly. Also is helpful to know certain behaviors or patterns they tend to exhibit to know what’s normal and not normal.
A typical day
Having a very high energy dog myself, I spend lots of time doing physical and mental activities every single day. Taking walks through the woods, going to the dog park, playing fetch, practicing commands, teaching new tricks, are just a few examples of the types of daily things I can and am willing to do all the favorites places/activities your pet enjoys as well!

I’m currently in college at St. Olaf but have suprisingly a good amount of free time. Particularly during the weekdays but after classes work best. It works for taking care of my own dog and fitting someone else’s dog is no problem at all! I can be flexible (:
