Availability
I am a PC Technician who works from home so I have the ability to set my own schedule. Also keep in mind that I can be fairly flexible about certain aspects listed in MY SERVICES above individually on a case-by-case basis. I am blessed to be able to keep fairly busy caring for pets and grandchildren daily (I am obliged to meet up with the afternoon school buses @ 3:30 most weekdays)

About Luie R.

Safety, trust & environment
Experience has taught me that safety is not just a word. It really is an important philosophy to keep foremost in mind every single time I make a service call on your behalf. People and their pets have been able to rely on me to be punctual and consistent regardless of the weather conditions outside. *Due to the frightening rising costs of fuel I may need to ask for a discussion about a small mileage surcharge where there is significant driving involved* Even after all these years it is still critical for me to have a clearly defined schedule derived from notes/instructions. I am most confident when I can set up my hourly agenda and checklists to cover all that needs to be attended to. You can expect me to honor your home, possessions and loved ones with the utmost care, respect and discretion.
Information Luie R. would like to know about your pet
Where do they sleep? What's the schedules for: Sleep / wake - where do they sleep over night? How frequent are feedings? Measurements? Supplements? Meds? Verbal commands we can expect them to respond to? (or wish to improve on) What's your technique to communicate 'no' to correct behavior in the moment? Favorite places to walk? (and actually produce stuff - not just sniff around for fun) How can you tell if they are stressed or uncomfortable? Triggers? Remedies? Where's the brush and how do they prefer to be petted? Any spots to avoid while touching? Does your dog go beyond sniffing poop landmines and actually try and grab them? What can I expect when we encounter other dogs, people, birds or wild rabbits? Add to that loud traffic, thunder and gunfire. How do they respond to rain, cold, snow and icy situations? Are they tempted by water to take a dip? For those who need excercise, what's their favorite toys to chase & fetch? I've got loads more I should add :)
A typical day
ADDITIONAL: Coming this spring 2023 - A special treat - 60 to 90 minute trail hike @ Killens Pond again extended to only a few qualified candidates. Ask for more details. This time we intend to offer uploaded Go-Pro activity camera footage of their adventures. Please note: 1 - "Children age 0-5 Yes/No" I answered NO but I do have 2 young grandchildren that visit our home frequently. We will typically go for walks every 3-4 hours from early morning until midnight. Most of my clients are free to sit with us on the couches in the family room. There are 3 special guests that are even welcome to hop up onto the bed at sleepy-time too. All of our younger charges even love to go for short runs while we walk the neighborhood. (emphasis on short - I'm in my mid 50's)

Pet care experience
I make it my job to provide you with reliable support, service and relief around the clock with quick response times whenever possible. 🐾 The phrase "unconditional love" must have been inspired by the unique relationship we share with our dogs. It is simply a deep joy and a an honor to be able to humbly work with our canine and feline friends. There's just no fooling those noses. I have learned that they can usually recognize a true animal lover upon meeting, observing body language and eye contact. I may specialize in Dogs but I really do LOVE Cats. I have worked with Fishes, Birds & Rabbits (and I am eager to learn to care for all sorts of beloved pets)
Reviews

Luis was so great with Cody, our 2 1/2 year old Border Collie, we wondered if Cody would be happy we came home! He took him out for hikes and walked him through our neighborhood. Luis also took good care of our home. Can't recommend him highly enough.
Moose was in really good hands with Luis! He was very attentive and professional. We would definately use him again.
Luie is the best. We are so thankful for him!

Luie was wonderful! He came by to walk our dog, Cooper, and made sure he was fed while we were away overnight. Cooper was well cared for, and we felt at ease knowing he was in good hands. Highly recommend!
