Pet care experience
Hello! My name is Lucy and I’m just finishing my training to become a Physician Associate in the NHS, where I will be working alongside the doctors to diagnose and manage a wide variety of medical conditions. In my free time, I love to exercise and go on long countryside walks - so getting involved in dog sitting and walking seems like a no-brainer to me! I’m an animal lover - I’ve had cats since I was two-years-old, and have experience in looking after nervous cats, as well as cats with special health needs. In more recent years, my family have had a working cocker spaniel (pictured!) and I’ve had experience dog sitting for many family friends for a variety of breeds including golden retrievers, labradors, whippets and one very lazy Alaskan Malamute!
Reviews
Elvis was very upset about being left with Lucy the first time we used Rover and he had to be dragged inside on his lead. The second time we went, he started wagging his tail as we approached her house and then ran inside without a backward glance as soon as she opened the door! I feel very confident leaving Elvis with Lucy - she seems eminently kind and sensible and Elvis obviously enjoyed hanging out with her and her housemates.
Lucy is a very caring, practical person who had an affinity with animals. She’s grown up with cats and helped walk a friend’s dog for a couple of years during teenage years. She has house sat for friends for a week looking after 2 Golden Retrievers and a cat. The dogs required separate walks as one was very old and the other an unruly, barky rescue dog. We now have a 7 month old Cocker Spaniel that Lucy loves and looks after regularly. She is reliable and sensible and I have no hesitation in recommending her.
