Pet care experience
Throughout my life my family has had five dogs, three cats and one rabbit; they’ve been important parts of my life. Most have been rescue animals that have come with various challenges, four have died from cancer and we cared for them during that process. Currently my shy terrier mix struggles with epilepsy and I’ve kept him safe through seizures. We’re still working to socialize our sweet rescue pitbull mix. I’ve cared for friends animals with similar challenges. It’s my passion to care for all animals.

She did a really great job dealing with our little dog, who can have anxiety issues. She was always there when she said she would be, followed all our instructions, and our dog was very happy with her.
Lucy LOVES animals & has an amazing energy that makes furry friends feel immediately comfortable with her. She will also be very respectful of the owners home in addition to tending to each animal’s needs .
Lucy is a delightful person and took very good care of our two large dogs. She seems to love our dogs as much as we do. They love her as well, and greet her like family when she comes to the door, which isn't typical for our rather nervous lab. She followed our care directions well and spent a lot of time at the house with the dogs while we were gone. We really appreciate the time and care she took with our beloved pets.
Lucy has a very lovable and caring personality. They are genuinely so good with animals and love all types of animals. They have dogs so i know they would treat your animals as their own! I would recommend them to anyone looking for a kind, loving person to watch your animals!

The most important thing is to keep the animals on a schedule that they’re used to. I explicitly try to understand when and what to feed them and if they need any medications. Of course I regularly check that they have plenty of water and when and how much they typically get exercise. I also try to keep their sleep and waking routine consistent. Then I love to play, I know they much appreciated belly rubs and cuddles are and I like to hang out with them as much as possible to keep them happy.

A typical day
My dogs love walking around the neighborhood and the lamorinda trail. The dogs I’ve sat for typically aren’t super adventurous so I don’t do a lot of off leash hikes in the hills.

Availability
I’m currently working part time, I work 30 hours a week. I work Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday from 10am to 5pm. I don’t typically work on weekends unless I’m covering a shift.
