Hi I'm Lucy. I'm a tech/finance professional working from home. I have a lot of love to give for your furry babies. When I lived in the Bay Area, I helped the Beagle Rescue and the Humane Society Silicon Valley fostering dogs. I have trained my own puppy Charlie Brown since he was 3 months old. He completed the Sirius Dog Training Level 1 (not easy given his rambunctious nature). When he turned 1 he started staying with my family in Cali while I moved to Chicago. Miss him a ton! After I moved to Chicago in 2018, I started volunteering at Paws Chicago every week, till the pandemic hit. Because of my passion/experience for pet care, along with my considerate and loving nature, I became the "designated pet sitter" in my friend circles. I've done boarding, drop-in visit, house/pet-sitting for both dogs and cats (and guinea pigs one time too!) I enjoyed it a lot. Not just because I love pets, but also helping others makes me feel very happy and fulfilled. I just moved to Miami 2023. I'm currently working from home and have been just busy saying hi to every doggo that I met here!

Lucy and Alessio did an amazing job with Bob. Bob is a 12 years old dog that needs to take medication every 12 hours. So I was worried about that. However since the first time I met lucy and alessio, I felt really comfortable to leave bob with them. They sent me pictures and videos every day and updates about Bob. I definitely recommend them. This was my first time ever using Rover so I was nervous about letting someone watch my fur baby especially because he is a senior dog that requires medication, but he was so well taken care of with Lucy. She kept me updated on how he was doing and sent me lots of photos which I really appreciated. I would definitely have Lucy take care of Cooper again!
Lucy was so sweet to my cat during her stay. Sent me frequent updates and was great to interact with. Highly recommend!

I live with my partner in a pet-friendly apartment with a dog run. I only take one client at a time so it will be a quiet and chill environment for your fur babies. I'm always very alerted on walks about cars and other dogs (to prevent any unpleasant encounter from happening). I like to invite clients over for a Meet&Greet before any boarding service to proof check my place in order to ensure the ultimate safety and comfort for the pet.

I have a very good knowledge and judgement for pet care but to ensure the utmost safety and respect for your fur babies, I would like my clients to provide me written instructions on: 1) pet's routine (feeding/toilet/sleeping) 2) special (medical) needs 3) people/things the pet maybe reactive to (at home and on walks) 4) vaccination status
A typical day
I'm very active and I like to take dogs on walks and runs. I'm also a couch potato from time to time so I definitely appreciate just cuddling with your pup all day. I like playing fetch, hide and seek, and tug of war with dogs. I played bird videos for cats they seemed to like it. Really depends on what the fur baby needs! There are some plazas and parks close to me which could be a good place to hang out. I'd also love to take your dog out for brunch and dinner if he/she likes that!

Availability
I'm currently working from home with a relatively flexible work schedule (my coworkers are around the globe in different time zones). I can do short/long walks depends on your pet's potty schedule and walk preference. I may need to step out for grocery or dinner once in a while, but if your pup has separation anxiety, I'll make sure to be with him/her 24/7!
