Pet care experience
I am a long-time dog owner who recently lost my Cocker Spaniel of 16 years. I am missing looking after a dog and (of course) the cuddles! I have had two smaller dogs in the past - a Yorkipoo and a Mini Aussie. I am experienced with taking care of high energy dogs that require long walks or multiple walks a day.

Our Yorkie Barney has just returned from his first stay with Lucy and I am so very happy with how well Lucy and her family looked after him. At the initial meet and greet, Lucy asked lots of salient questions about Barney's character and needs and it was lovely that the whole family were there to meet us. Barney and I were made to feel so welcome and it was obvious to me that Lucy has a lot of experience with dogs and that she cares deeply for them. During our time away, Lucy sent daily updates and took plenty of photos of Barney. On collecting Barney, it was clear that he had been treated and cared for so well, as if he were Lucy's own dog, He was so obviously relaxed with Lucy and her family to the extent that he didn't want to leave and cried all the way home. I am so grateful to have found Lucy and will definately be booking with Lucy again, when we next go away. Thank you.

Although I will be the person providing the full care for your dog, I do live with my mum, stepdad and grandmother who work from home and are around in different areas of the house all day. Because they work from home or are elderly, the house is quiet and calm. Our living space is very open and comfortable and there are always extra cuddles and strokes on hand for your dog throughout the day!

A typical day
I live next to huge fields and parks with some excellent walks. There are some lovely country lanes and trails, and the neighbourhood is friendly and safe for walks for dogs that need a more gentle walk. I can accommodate elderly dogs that require a slower pace or energetic dogs that enjoy long walks or jogging. I love playful dogs and can join in their games with their favourite toys! I’m an excellent tug of war partner and I have a good throwing arm!

Availability
I am working from 9am to 3pm on weekdays. I will be available weekends and during half term, summer holidays etc as I work in a school. I’m a quiet and gentle person and my home is a quiet and mellow environment with a good sized garden backing on to huge fields and a park.
