Pet care experience
Growing up we had animals in the house for as long as I can remember. We’ve had five dogs and countless domestic rats, birds, mice, and a hamster. I spent three years on Zoo Crew at the Lincoln Zoo, and currently own two cats, Simba and Riku, and a yellow lab named Hunter. I frequently would help take care of my mom’s three dogs (Australian shepherd/red heeler mix, black lab, red tick coon hound). This included feeding, administering medicine, brushing, walking and letting them out during the day when my parents couldn’t. When I moved out, I started dog sitting for them when needed which included walks and trips to the dog park (Rickman Run or Petersen Park). I currently live in the Omaha area with my fiancé and three pets

Dogs make Lucy happy and Lucy makes dogs even happier. She goes above and beyond to ensure that the relationship she builds with mans best friend is truly meaningful. Lucy comes from a family that has brought several rescues into their caring home; a home in which they are taken to the park, fed on a strict schedule, and disciplined when necessary. Lucy has been raised since birth to treat her dogs with respect and gentleness and she'll continue that with any she's entrusted to watch. She not only watches her dogs, but she also engages and spends meaningful time with them. She is also an excellent student striving to procure two bachelors degrees in Meteorology and Mathematics. Lucy is an exceptionally hard worker with an immense amount of discipline, and she genuinely loves dogs. I know many dog-lovers but Lucy is the first person I'd go to if I ever needed my best friend taken care of in my absence.
If I were to entrust anyone with my fluffy companion, Lucy is always at the top of my list 100% of the time, every time. Not only does she love all animals, but they love her back. But how would you know that your animal would feel comfortable with Lucy? Excellent question. I’ve had the pleasure of knowing Lucy for a few years now, and the first thing that comes to mind when I describe Lucy is how much of an animal lover Lucy is. Having had several dogs herself, she understands their needs. No matter how big or small, lively or laidback, I have yet to meet an animal that isn’t overjoyed to spend time with Lucy. She always goes above and beyond in everything she does, and you can always depend on her with anything. She understands all types of personalities in animals and will treat your furry friend extremely well. Reliable. Caring. Understanding. Sure, you have several options in entrusting someone with your fluffy companion, but the fact of the matter is if you want the best for your pet, pick Lucy!

A typical day
While getting ready for work I take my dog out to my apartment‘s dog park. After he does his business I will play with him for a few minutes to get him some exercise to start the day. Around the lunch hour either myself or my fiancé will come home and take him out and play fetch with him (ball=life). When I get home from work I take him outside to the park again with the ball to play and often take him for a walk around the complex. Right before bed I take him out to pee, then he gets one more opportunity to poop right before my fiancé gets ready for bed.

Availability
I work full-time Monday-Friday in the IT field. I am available on weekends and most days after 4:30pm. I can also be available over the lunch hour if you are nearby.
