I wish you had zero stars. Lucy texted me the day of the care of my darling cocker Teddy. W traveled from Seattle, to Grover Beach to attend our grandsons Cal Poly graduation. We had a nice meet and greet with Lucy the day before. She had limited availability the day before so we re-arranged our entire day to visit her at 12:30. The next morning at 9 AM we got a text from her saying she was ill and was cancelling for our 3 PM to 8 PM care. I wrote back and said that leaves us no options, what is your recommended back up plan for us? She did not reply. I was hoping she would recommend a back up or at least a kennel or a vet. NOTHING. Lucky I read her text or I would have shown up with Teddy. Unbelievable that Lucy would be so inconsiderate. People do get sick but this was a 19 lb well behaved cocker, hard to believe she couldn't watch him for 4 hours OR provide us with an option. Beware of LUCY!! Rover people are normally very dependable and caring.

Lucy was amazing, in every way possible. We changed our arrival time twice and she was very sweet and understanding, even offered to come pick up our dog if it would be easier for us. She was waiting outside when we pulled up with a big smile and greeted us with hugs. Chloe, our 7 month old Lab, instantly trusted her...and that is unusual as Chloe is quite anxious meeting new people. Chloe got lots of love and attention from Lucy and her son and she sent us pictures throughout the evening so that our minds were at ease. Chloe wasn't all that excited to see us when we picked her up, LOL, I was sincerely delighted that Chloe was reluctant to have her good time with her new friends come to an end. If we lived in CA then Lucy would be our sitter of choice for years to come but we live 2000 miles away. Thank you Lucy, you are the best!!!!!
