Friendly and flexible dog care to work for you!

Pet care experience

I am a dog mum myself to Alfie who is an 8 year old Springer Spaniel, I have had him since he was a puppy! I have also been house sitting and dogwalking for multiple families since 2018, I have supported long term sits with 4-6 weeks fostering and ad-hoc support for the one of days away, or evenings out. I love dogs and my Alfie loves the company, so we like to offer a service that works for you and your pet!

I would highly recommend Lucy to look after your dog. She is extremely kind and caring and has a wonderful way with dogs. Lucy looked after our springer spaniel, George, for the long Easter weekend and he clearly had the best time. George is shy and nervous of new people but instantly warmed to Lucy and the gorgeous Alfie. So much so I’m not sure he wanted to come home! Lucy sent us regular updates and photos of George whilst we were away so we could see how happy he was. Lucy was also really flexible and happy to fit around our timings which we were really grateful of. We will certainly be calling on Lucy again when we go away again. Thanks again Lucy and Alfie for giving us and George a wonderful stress free holiday xx

Lucy helped us out enormously with our young chocolate labrador, Polly, after the birth of our second child. It was such a relief to know that Polly was in such safe and capable hands whilst we had our hands full elsewhere! Lucy would walk her three times a week and has then dog sat for us on numerous occasions over the years. Polly still adores seeing her; a testiment to the relationship they built up during those years. In short, I can't recommend Lucy highly enough! She's very responsible, mature, capable, able to use her own iniatitive and just a generally wonderful and lovely person. You won't regret choosing her to look after your pet pooch!

As a recently retired NHS occupational therapist, and as a regular client of Lucy’s from 2018 (when I was a became a first-time dog owner after unexpectedly inheriting a seven year old Labrador bitch from a family member), I can with complete confidence say Lucy is amongst the most capable and reliable dog walkers and dog sitters I have encountered. She has both provided regular dog-walking for on my workdays, and also has house/dog sat for me on multiple occasions. I have been continuously impressed by her reliability, honesty and capability. Her skills in dog-training and handling, and her warm leadership spirit was evident to me from the start (when I joined her for the first walk to allow our dog to become familiar with Lucy) and also by feedback to me from other clients of Lucy’s in the dog walking community in our village. An example of Lucy’s skills is that when she started working with our dog who was previously socially timid and uncertain about meeting other dogs on social walks – within a year our dog was confident and calm around other dogs. I think to a great extent, this is a reflection of what she has learned from Lucy. On each occasion Lucy has house/dog sat for me, I have found our dog to be relaxed and confident when we returned and had clearly enjoyed herself. Her standout qualities are her honesty, reliability, dog training skills, and her positive attitude in her work. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Lucy.

Lucy has been my perfect dog-sitter for several years now. My three spoilt pooches love her and are always very happy and excited to see her. Lucy recognises their very different personalities: has a great sense of humour and seems to feel real affection for them, …. even when they misbehave! I never have any qualms about leaving my house and dogs in Lucy’s care, she looks after the house perfectly, keeps me posted with photos/updates on my dogs while I am away and is my perfect dog-sitter.

I want to provide the best service possible for you and your pooch. Being away from your pets can be hard so I keep owners updated daily with photos and videos of our adventures!

A typical day

Alfie is an active boy so we spend a lot of time outdoors. We tend to walk 5-10km a day and when we aren't out in the fields we chill out at home together.
