Experience with reactive dogs!
Pet care experience
Like many others, I adopted a “COVID pup” back in March of 2020. Unlike many others, I have no intention of going back to an in-person office, so my capacity to care for animals during the week has greatly increased. I'm a very active person (played college soccer and am now training for various races/half marathons) so I am happy to walk/jog/run with your pup. My husband and I also love to hike in the DMV, and would be happy to take your fur baby with us for an adventure. My family has had cats for 20 years, and I have been pet sitting for four feline friends consistently over the last 5 years.
Reviews
Lucy is absolutely wonderful with pets of all kind - especially dogs! She has watched my dog when I leave for vacation for the past 3 years and has been wonderful. She is very responsible and kindhearted. She maintains great communication and makes sure my dog gets lots of love while I'm away! I highly recommend Lucy!

Caring for pets in my own home depends on how my dog interacts with the guest animal. If they get along, they can play together all day. If there needs to be separation, I keep my dog confined to one area of the apartment. I like to keep up whatever training/structure a client uses, so caring for a pet in their own home would just require some further conversation about needs/wants/structure.
Information Lucy B. would like to know about your pet
I just like to know if your dog is fearful, what their triggers are, how they prefer to be handled, anything to avoid, and whatever else they might need to adjust and feel comfortable.
A typical day
Running and zooming on a long leash at nearby parks, trips to the dog park, pack walks with neighborhood friends, enrichment time, and cuddles. Runs/hikes are also fun!

Availability
I currently work from home during the week and am free on weekends. I care for my own dog during the day, but am open to bringing my laptop to keep a pet company elsewhere during work hours, or hosting play dates at my apartment. I am available for walks or runs outside of standard work hours, too.
