Pet care experience
I have taken care of dogs in a formal capacity since 2018. I started with some volunteering with an organisation that helps facilitate fostering and dogwalks for pets of the elderly called the Cinnamon Trust. Following this, I began boarding and walking dogs professionally and I have done this since 2021.

I was a bit nervous to leave Jojo but she was very happy to meet Lucinda and took to her right away. Didn't even look back as she went inside. Jojo was happy and content when I picked her up. Would be happy to have Lucinda look after JoJo again x
Otis thoroughly enjoyed his daycare and sleepover at Lucindas. She did every she could to make sure he had the best time and was really diligent with his care. She got stuck into his gun dog training too which was lovely to see and sent lots of updates of their adventures together. Xx

I have enjoyed it all, from the happy go lucky Tigger type dogs to the types that unfurl and trust your care very slowly, like they're slipping their paw into a pool they don't quite trust and then finally allow themselves to take a lovely swim - seeing that transition is always so rewarding. I live in a flat with no outside space but I am located very near to a square and a number of stunning parks and marshes. The the bulk of my availability is at the weekends and during school holidays, but I also may be able to fit in a long weekend board.

I sometimes board two dogs together, from different homes and they always have a blast on their doggy sleepovers! I also may have multiple dog walks booked, if your dog is not good with other dogs inside or outside, please make this explicitly clear when contacting me, that they cannot be around other dogs. Please let me know of any stimuli that your dog is adverse to, or anxiety including separation anxiety. Whether they have a blanket or toy that settles them. Also any commands or training they have that I can use with them.
A typical day
I take cues from the dogs as well as owners on what they need from me. I want them to have the most relaxed time that their temperament allows for. I'm looking forward to possibly meeting lots of new dogs to walk, play and care for. I live by lots of wonderful green spaces and the dogs in my care always get the full experience of that if their bodies are able to. Looking forward to hearing from potential new doggy clients soon!

Availability
During this time I've dog sat and walked dogs with an array of personalities and needs: from a little pebble of a chihuahua to a rambunctious Newfoundland/Poodle mix. Some of these dogs have not been able to be alone at all due to their intense separation anxiety, some have had reactive behaviours around other dogs, some have had to have medications administered including eye drops and ear drops. One lovable but deeply anxious rescued staffy even relied on having the plot intricacies offered by Baywatch, played on rotation to calm him. So by default I have sat through a selection of episodes - I don't think my commitment can be underestimated.
