My name is Lucia and I have been an animal caretaker for over 20 years now. I recently re-opened my home after a little break . My background includes working for veterinaries including an emergency vet and shelters. I was an ACO and for many years managed a doggy day care. Like so many others, my life changed during the pandemic and I left working in animal welfare. I now work for a school close to home and am home everyday for lunch to let my own dogs out, so your dog would not be left long without attention. I also have a doggy cam to keep an extra eye on our guests. I am trained in animal CPR and pet first aid. I am also a trained volunteer for various rescue groups and have been a foster mom for groups both in California and New Jersey. I have three of my own dogs, a lab and two older chihuahuas. All my dogs are dog friendly and have been around many dogs, between guest and dogs we have fostered. The smaller dogs would come to work with me at the daycare and love being around big dogs. I have two teen kids who are excellent around all dogs as they have been around animals since they came into the world. Every dog we have either watched or fostered has lived with the family. Your dog will get full run of the house, sleep on one of our comfy dog beds, couch, bed or if he or she prefers to bring her own bed that's fine too! We have a fully fenced in yard where dogs love to play and all the walks they desire are included ! I do not care what size or breed your dog is, but your dog HAS to be good with kids and other dogs. That is our ONLY policy :) Other than overnight care I offer ——-> • Doggy Camp. Drop your dog off for the day to socialize and play at camp. July And August camp is open everyday. September-June camp sueinf the week starts at 3:30 and all day weekends. So if you work late shifts this is a great opportunity for your dog to come play and not be alone. . Local dogs can get picked up to come over and play. Hikes at our local trails, romps at the dog park or just hanging and playing in the yard. Whatever your dog prefers. . *** Besides overnights in my home, and dog camp, I also can do house checks, daily walks and FIELD TRIPS ! We can go to our local dog park if your dog likes to socialize and play. I also do private and small pack walks at Rifle camp park and other local trails. I also watch cats, birds , reptiles and anything else that needs care. I can stop over 1-3 times a day to walk, feed, play with your animal. Prices vary on how far we are from each other.
