Pet care experience
Hello y’all, I’m a recent Baltimore transplant! I am very experienced in training dogs and caring for cats, as I understand and research both cat and dog behavior. I have a lot of knowledge about dog and cat health, along with other animals (reptiles, birds, horses, etc.), and different breeds. I enjoy training dogs, too and hope to get certified in training dogs. I get animals, and they get me too. :) Bo is a deaf, well-behaved pittie I trained in ASL. She LOVES other dogs, cats, kids, and adults. She LOVES to go on walks and play, so she would join me only if your pet enjoys the company of other dogs and with your consent. I’ve been lucky enough to have and/or care for all sorts of animals throughout my entire life, especially growing up as a feral child in FL trying to bring animals home (e.g. birds of all sizes, reptiles, cats and dogs especially, horses, amphibians, fish, and some other farm animals). I have no problem giving medication or medical care to animals, no matter how intensive. I/We look forward to meeting y’all! -Bo Peep and Lucas

We live in a very apartment complex with a dog park and is a dog-friendly complex. We often go on longer walks, hikes, frequent dog park visits, and car rides. Of course, these will vary with weather, how owners like for their pet to be cared for, and service. We do our best to create a welcoming, happy home full of enrichment and play that we carry with us. We also love to cuddle and pet other doggos if they do, too. We just ask that your dog(s) get along well with other dogs if they come to our home, have some commands they obey, and have no aggressive behaviors. We take lots of pictures of the furbabies, too! If in your home, I strive to create as much routine and normalcy, while also spending quality time with pets. They also can play with Bo and Sammy if they are invited :)

I LOVE and I am VERY knowledgeable about deaf dogs and their unique behaviors and potential behavioral concerns that can differ from hearing dogs. I’ve done so much research and practice, training Bo Peep entirely myself. I am also knowledgeable about various conditions and abilities that dogs and cats may/may not have. Senior and/or Disabled dogs and cats are very welcomed. I would need to know about any medical concerns, and mobility and their disability to make sure I give the correct care. We also need to know if they are friendly toward other animals and other humans so they can play or walk with Bo Peep, or if they need distance and alone time. And I enjoy just any important facts and things you enjoy and love about them. The more knowledge I have, the better care I can give your dog while also preparing ahead of time. I request arranging a prior meeting with you to make sure they meet me and that I am a good fit.
A typical day
We enjoy hiking, cuddling, swimming, just generally being outdoors, while also interacting with other dogs along the way. So, we try to provide these and other options for pets that I’m caring for if they enjoy these activities. For kitties/cats, I take a lot of time to play, give pets if they like them, and make sure they get the mental stimulation they need.

I am currently a therapist that works mostly remote, so I am able to visit the fur babies in-between clients throughout the day. I have a general routine with Bo Peep as well.
