Professional dog caregiver/handler

Pet care experience

I'm currently the behavior manager for our dog team at Our Companions Animal Rescue. I work at our sanctuary where I manage a team of competent handlers and I work with reactive/aggressive dogs. I'm currently working on getting my CPDT. If you hire me, I promise your canine companion will receive the care, compassion, patience, and attention they deserve.

Lucas is not only the most dog knowledgeable person I know, but his admirable understanding for all animals he interacts with is truly one of a kind. He always strives to make sure pets in his care are comfortable, safe and happy. His innovative imagination and creativity to keep pets mentally stimulated, at times when they can’t always be physically stimulated, is amazing. I wouldn’t trust my babies with anyone else!

I love my animals more than anything in the world. Lucas has been my go to person when it comes to watching my cats when I am away for years. He has come on short notice when I’ve had family emergencies, and stopped in when one of my cats was very sick without hesitation. There is absolutely no one I trust more than him when it comes to the welfare of my animals. I would recommend Lucas to anyone without a second thought. He will care for and love your animals as if they were his own.

Lucas has been helping me with my dogs over the past few years. He has always been so kind and wonderful with them and is always punctual. I’d recommend him to everyone and anyone to help take care of their pets!

Safety, trust & environment

Due to my long history and experience working with dogs, I have the ability to read dogs very well to detect if they are anxious, fearful, or uncomfortable. My goal is to make sure your dog gets exactly what they need, whether it's a certain activity they enjoy, training they need, or a certain destination they love for their outdoor time. Positive reinforcement is the name of the game.

Information Lucas B. would like to know about your pet

If your dog has any aggression or resource guarding, leash frustration, reactivity towards people/dogs/wildlife/cars/etc, special training being worked on, any physical ailments, preferred hobbies, etc.

A typical day

I'll of course inquire with the owners on what their dog prefers best. Otherwise, I'll work on basic training, attention games, proper exercise, play time, relaxation training, and whatever else the dog may benefit from. It's all based on the needs of each individual dog.
