Pet care experience
I am a natural care giver by heart. I grew up with dogs & started rescuing dogs as soon as I had a place of my own. I've rescued from shelters & also rescued ones I found abandoned. I have cared for dogs with medical issues such as epilepsy, partial paralysis, cancer, & lung disease. My last 2 dogs both received Canine Good Citizen certificates & one was also a Therapy Dog. Their departure however was especially tough on me due to our tight bond. So instead of adopting more, I decided to fulfill my love and appreciation of these angelic-like beings of unconditional love, by providing a safe haven to them while their people are away.

Our first time using Rover and we couldn’t be more pleased thanks to the loving care Luann provided for our dog. She kept us up to date with daily texts and pictures. She told us of our dog’s activities and behavior. Her house was set for Winnie’s arrival which made us feel comfortable about her stay. As a review she deserves a 5 stars!!!
Luanne was simply wonderful. She provided pictures and updates a couple times each day. Milo was well cared for, happy, and comfortable. We couldn’t have wished for more with Luanne. Highly recommended.
Wonderful caretaker of our dog. He is never stressed out on our return because Luanne takes such good care of him. She is caring and gives him lots of attention and affection when we’re gone.
My dog Carter stayed with Luanne for a week and she took great care of him. She made sure he settled in nicely and communicated daily and sent pictures so I was confident he was happy and comfortable. She clearly is a dog lover. She spent time playing with him and took him on lots of walks. She is a super nice person and easy to work with. Carter and I look forward to using Luanne again. Kennels no more!

I have an acre of property on a quiet side street to take your friends for potty breaks. My street is like a horseshoe...it starts & ends on the same connecting street so there is no through traffic. I will only crate your furry friend if that is something they are used to when you leave or if I see anxiety issues such as frequent indoor potty issues or chewing things up. Otherwise, they will be guest in my home & allowed on the furniture as long as that is what you permit in your home.

Is your dog is fully potty trained? Is s/he is used to being alone for 8 hours? Is s/he is used to walking on a leash/going to the bathroom while on a leash? During flea/tick season, please let me know about your dog's preventative. No one wants to leave any buggers around for the next dog. Is your dog crate trained if they start to express anxiety or marking behaviors by frequently urinating inside or chewing non-toys & require a crate for safety while I'm working? My hope though is to keep everyone happy & anxiety free. Please share any other special needs or behaviors.
A typical day
I always play music for them if I leave. I have a big picture window that most dogs seem to love looking out. I keep dog beds around various rooms of the house so they have a comfy spot to lay in different areas. But I do recommend you still bring their favorite bed or blanket...smells of home bring them more comfort.

Availability
I work as a caregiver for kids & adults with intellectual &/or physical disabilities. Sometimes they stay with me for short periods & other times I am helping them get out. When they stay with me, I am able to be home longer & spend more time with furry guest too. But my furry guest must be calm, non-aggressive dogs. Some days I am out for up to 8 hours taking people on activities, so your dog needs to be alright with me possibly being gone for 8 hours. I will definitely take your companions out before I leave & as soon as I return, as well as in the morning & before bed.
