This veteran LOVES dogs
Pet care experience
I have loved animals my entire life, but especially dogs. From small to big I love them all! My family has had a number of pets throughout my life and I have loved all of my animals. I currently have 2 giant breed dogs. I am great with "hard to handle dogs". My wife met me with one of our dogs Ona as her dog already-in fact I was her pet sitter! I was told by my wife that her dog at the time 'doesn't like men'. That dog went from being my wife's pup to mine from the moment I met her. I have yet to find a dog I cannot make friends with. I enjoy cats as well, although I prefer cats that are more dog like in their characteristics. If I feel like the right fit shoot me a message and we can schedule a meet and greet! I specialize in overnight care, but I am accepting clients for drop in visits as well. I live in the Valley, but work in Anchorage, so I accept clients from all over the Wasilla/Anchorage/Girdwood area!
Reviews
Loyd was amazing for staying with our pets for so long. He gave us updates and kept our pets very happy, I have already recommended him to our friends.
Loyd is always on top of it with our energetic pooch! She is good hands when Loyd cares for her!
Loyd watched our 2 dogs in our home while we were away for over a week. He came by prior to our scheduled sitting for a meet and greet, which was definitely appreciated! Our dogs were at ease with him immediately. We will definitely book him again when we travel!
Loyd was amazing with our pupper Finn and took excellent care of our house. Our minds were at ease knowing Finn and our house were in good hands. He is our go to sitter!

Safety, trust & environment
I care for all animals as if they were my own, and I put their safety and well being at the forefront of all my visits. I am someone you can count on and trust to do a great job, follow your directions, and care for your animals in your absence.
Information Loyd V. would like to know about your pet
I need to know any particularities your pet may have, anything I need to watch out for (like pups that try to be escape artists), and any other scheduling or medicating needs and protocol your animal might have.
A typical day
I like to do whatever the animals I am watching enjoy. Fetch, tug of war, go on a walk around the neighborhood. You name it, and I will poop your dog out in their favorite way!

I am a veteran and I work as a contractor on base. I am able to do check in visits in the morning starting as early as 5am and until 8am. I am also available for drop in visits in the late afternoon beginning around 4-5pm and all throughout the evening. For those on base I can also drop in throughout the day. I am also available for overnight care. So, if you would like to book an overnight or drop in with me, the sooner I know, the better so I can get your furry loved one onto the books! ************************ My booking policies: When a client requests an overnight booking with me, I respond as quickly as possible (most times I am able to do this within the hour the request is made). When a client requests dates, those dates are blocked off on my calendar and unavailable to any other customer. This is why I require correspondence with my clients within 24 hours of the initial request. If this does not happen, the booking request will be declined and the reason will be marked "owner did not respond"- if your circumstances require slightly more time, simply let me know in your request and I would be happy to accommodate. Meet and greets need to be scheduled (not held, only scheduled) within 24 hours of first contact or the sitting request will be declined and marked “owner did not respond”. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation as this allows me to better serve all my amazing clients.
