Hi, I'm Louise! I grew up surrounded by bigger dogs (golden retrievers, labs, samoyeds, german shepherds). I lived in London for 6 years until summer 2022 and was essentially the second Mum to my bosses dog, Herbie (jack russell). I also looked after a frenchie and beagle here and there on borrowmydog. Alongside looking after neighbours and friends pets on occasion, such as dachshunds and golden doodles! I have spent 1 week total in a friend of a friends home looking after their two large dogs. I have also had overnight stays at my flat (I live alone, with no pets), but mostly day care and set dog walking days/times. Very happy to do any! Feel free to reach out if you have any questions :)

I always make sure the dog is cared for and looked after as best I can. This includes being in the same room as them to ensure they are always ok, taking them out for regular walks and loo-breaks, following the owners pet schedule/rules (feeding times, allowing or not allowing them on furniture etc.), playing with them and making sure they are happy pets!

A typical day
Depending on the size/ability of the dog(s), take them out for a lovely big walk somewhere green, playing with their toys/ball etc. If I have them for the day, they are very welcome back to my flat where I'll wipe their paws down before having some rest time, indoor play, regular loo breaks etc. If they are a medium to bigger dog, I will take them for a second decent length walk later on that day. The rest is dependent on what the owner does day to day with their pet and whether they have a routine etc. Please note that I keep all dogs on their lead unless requested otherwise.

Availability
I work from home, from my flat in Partick, Glasgow. My job is very flexible, so I can work from anywhere and can take regular breaks! I also live right next door to Kelvingrove Park which is ideal.
