Small hobby farm, raise shelties
Pet care experience
We have a small hobbies farm, with a few animals. I raise shelties sheepdogs, there is also chickens one peacock, small herd of fainting goats, and another big dog as our yard dog. I also, have a kitten in the house. I have animals had my own animals for over 50 years. Whenever my friend goes out of town she hired me to watch her cat. Been doing this for about five years now. I take care of my olders animals until they pass on their own. I have blind and hard of hearing dogs and I care for them as I always do. They are family as always .

When caring for my friends cat, I go in and give her fresh food, wash the food bowls if dirty. Clean the cat box and give her fresh water. That I would do for any cat or dog. If I am to walk a dog or two I would make sure the leash is secure before going out the door. Then we would walk for at least a half hour. Make sure it has plenty of fresh water when we get back. If there is a back yard to play in I would let them play for awhile before going back in the house. I would follow their house rules of how they would like their animal cared for.

A typical day
I would play with the dogs and let them smell the different new smells while we are walking in the area. I will have a bag to pick up as we go on our way.

Availability
Since I am retired I get up and put the dogs out and play with the big one for at least half hour couple times a day. Feed chickens and goats,always talking to every one while doing the outside chores. Animals seem to be part of my life. One of the shelties is my emotional support dog, so if I go out of town she goes with me. When taking care of my friends cat, I talk to her even if she won't come out of hiding while I am there. Animals are always on my mind. I talk and pet my cat quite a bit every day. Some of the goats are tame so everyone is talked to and some get pets.
