Pet care experience
I love wearing out dogs either on a hike or tug of war. I can also provide car transportation to get your dog out of the old neighborhood routine with a nearby hike or trip to the dogpark. I have experience with wrangling cattle dogs, retrievers, labs, doodles, poodles, pit bulls, boxers, chihuahuas, shih-tzus, and more. Never met a dog I didn't like. Does your dog need a bath after a hike? I can hose down and shampoo your dog. This way, you don't have to experience the trail we went on too! Please consult with me about treat preferences, doggie bag waste, and behavioral training techniques specific to your dog!

Lous is great with dogs and dependable. I have an Australian cattle dog, Opal, who is protective and wildly energetic. Opal is very smart and oddly manipulates people if they are too soft, so a lot of my friends have a difficult time caring for her and walking her when I'm away. Lou is stern but loving with Opal and has been able to care for her in a way many of my other friends cannot. Lou has a natural love of dogs but strikes the right balance of authority with dogs who are a little harder to handle. He'll make a great sitter for various dogs.
Lou is phenomenal with our two Cattle dogs. Even though they can be difficult on the leash (they like to chase pretty much everything that moves), Lou keeps them calm and under control and happy. I've got photos of our dogs hanging out in the center of busy public areas I avoid myself where both dogs are laying down, happy and calm. Your dogs deserve a walk with Lou.

Fenced-in yards are helpful for local play, but not necessary. I'm happy to refill water, dog food, and clean up dog messes as much as I can before my arrival. Currently there are no pets in my household, and we are considering getting a dog in the future.

A typical day
Walks through local parks, I'm a landscape architect so I'm always enjoying finding new secret spots. Dexter Park is great and the Bell St dogpark is a crowd pleaser. I also have a car that I can use to get to Roger Williams Park and other hikes in the area. I love playing ball, rope, animating inanimate animals, hugs and kisses, cleaning, baths, and swimming.

I'm a freelance gardener and urban planner, and my schedule is flexible during the week. Typically, I do visits and walks from 11am to the evening.
