Veterinary Student with passion for animals
Pet care experience
I’ve been on Rover for several years now and have loved every minute of it! I have kept all kinds of pets all my life - and frequently looked after my own and other family's pets growing up. I have done a lot of work experience on farms and in vet practices so am comfortable working with a wide range of animals, and have a flexible schedule as I am at university. It is important for me to gain experience with different animals so whilst I hope to help you as much as I can, it would also be a huge help to me to spend time with your furry friends. I have learned so much about dogs through this experience, and love to get to know each personality well, and make sure the care I give them is suited for each individual. My passion is animals and I take pride in caring for them. I walk everyday and am very confident in taking animals out on the lead.

Reviews

Lottie (really) helped us with a last minute house-sitting request. She was quick to respond and made time to meet and understand the medical needs of our cat - and Lottie seemed genuinely thrilled to meet her (and there was an instant bond). We had frequent updates and photos too. Lottie's personable, empathetic nature and knowledge of cats really helped to put our minds at ease. We would whole heartedly recommend Lottie's services.

Lottie was fantastic with our dog, which we could tell by just how much she bonded with her. We received plenty of photos and updates through the day and we’re always confident the dog was being looked after well. So much so, I’m sure the dog was annoyed when we returned and Lottie left. 10/10 - would recommend to a friend

Excellent- Lottie was friendly, great communication and regular updates. Jasper looked very happy 😊

Lottie was amazing! We were a little nervous leaving Reggie as we hadn't done so before but Lottie put us at ease from our initial meeting. She ensured she had all the details for how to care for him before we left. We received daily updates and photos while we were away and it was obvious that he was being very well looked after. We highly recommend Lottie! Thank you :) 😀

I have a large fenced garden for your pets where i can play with them regularly, and a car to travel in, the animals are more than welcome inside too! I always offer a meet and greet before looking after your animal, so we can see if we are both a good fit for each other. The best thing about sitting animals is truly experiencing how each individual varies, and getting to know a whole new personality each time.

Information Lottie D. would like to know about your pet
If your pet has any special needs I need to know ahead of time, I’ll always be happy to adjust care to them so please just let me know! :) I have experience managing separation anxiety, administering medication for chronic conditions, and caring for senior dogs with mobility issues. I can also handle behavioral challenges like aggression or fear of loud noises. If your dog has food allergies or other dietary restrictions, I’m well-versed in managing those as well, ensuring your pet’s safety and comfort. I am highly capable and trained at administering medication, changing bandages and dressings, and any other at home assistance needed. Ensuring your animal is comfortable with me is my main priority, and I always offer a meet and greet before we start, to ensure everything runs smoothly.
A typical day
When spending the day with a dog I follow their usual routine as best as I can. If possible, I like to play lots of games with them and bond with them. I like to take dogs on varied walks depending on their individual needs - which is the highlight of my day. I also like to sit and do my uni work with dogs and cats - they often help me with my lectures when I’m stuck :)
