Have always had a dog in our lives, love being around them. Never had a cat, but like them as well. I have watched family and neighbors pets when they had to go somewhere. Guess I really enjoy being around the animals and getting to know all their personalities. I had a children's daycare where I had an acre for the kids to play. Loved being with the children and doing crafts. Now I believe I would like to put in time with the animals , since I have 2 small dogs and my children are grown have a family of their own . When retired I started volunteering at different Humane societies in our travels.. At times I wished I had enough space to bring all the dogs home with me that were up for adoption. Though it felt good just the time I did put in with them at the shelter. I take care of the pets just like they were my own , I know I would love the comfort feeling of someone watching my fur babies while I'm gone and not have to worry and taking away the distraction of my vacation or trip.
