I have just over a year of full-time dog-walking and dog-sitting experience and it was truly one of the most rewarding jobs of my life. I am an attorney by trade and walked dogs while transitioning from a firm job to my current private practice. As you can imagine, legal work is very long, tiring, and often stressful. I have found new joy in my work and a sense of peace and grounding when I get to set aside time to walk and care after your pups. It's therapy for me and a fun day out or getaway when your pups stay with me at my place, or I watch them at yours. I also have a 2.5 year old son who LOVES dogs, and though we are not ready to adopt one just yet, taking care of my friends' and clients' dogs has given me the best of both worlds! I have a flexible schedule and sometimes take a ride to my shared office space in Dumbo - the community there is also extremely dog-friendly, so if I'm pet-sitting for you at my place or house-sitting for you, I can take your pup(s) to work with me, too! It's a fun day out and a chance to make new friends with neighboring office pups. My office is also close to Brooklyn Bridge Park, which is always a great outing for your pup as well. Since I live in the city (East Harlem), I also have access to several local parks, including a dog park. I enjoy being active and spending time with your pups outdoors.
