Active Adventures with an experienced dog carer
Pet care experience
I am an experienced dog carer currently working towards dog training accreditation with IMDT. I am offering enriching small group or 1-1 walks for your furry friends! I am focused on giving an enjoyable, personalised and attentive approach to caring for dogs that considers individual needs, group dynamics and most importantly their comfort and safety. I keep my groups small (maximum 4 dogs at a time) allowing me to give each dog the individual focus they need. I have a beautiful rescue dog of my own and I will treat every dog in my care with the same love and respect I show him. I have worked with dogs from all walks of life and happy to work with shyer, anxious dogs as well as the social butterflies! If your dog needs more time to adjust to a new sitter / walker I am happy to offer advice and work with you to make the transition as comfortable as possible for them. If you are interested in using my services please get in touch to arrange a meet and greet. I normally recommend a shorter trial day to start to ease your dog in to the new environment.
Reviews
Lorna was absolutely amazing, I couldn't recommend her enough. Bernie had the best time and went on some lovely walks and had plenty of cuddles. Lorna is so positive and relaxed, and kept us updated throughout Bernie's stay. We'll definitely be booking again. Thanks! Liz and Chris xxx
Lorna was amazing with our 4 month old puppy. Sent lots of pictures and video updates throughout the day. Will definitely book again.
Arnie had a fab walk with Lorna and will be seeing her again soon - thank you!
Kobi loved his stay with Lorna. He seemed very chilled and content and made some new doggy friends! Lorna was amazing and kept me updated on how he was doing and sent lots of lovely photos and videos.

Safety, trust & environment
Safety is my biggest priority when it comes to caring for dogs so I will ensure all measures are in place (such as secure dog gates where needed, toxic food items kept well out of reach) . When it comes to walks I will never let a dog off leash until I am 100% confident in their recall. All dogs will start on long line and build up from there. I am fully insured and first aid trained.

Information Lorna T. would like to know about your pet
Please let me know about: - Dogs general temperament and personality traits - Fears, anxieties and allergies - Any prior medical conditions that may be relevant. - Training history/any current or previous behavioural issues. All dogs must be fully vaccinated and up to date with their flea/worming treatments.
A typical day
My day care service includes: - An active, enriching group walk with off leash time offered once I am confident in a dogs recall. Please note all dogs start on long line with me and will not be let off leash until they are ready and with your prior permission. - Comfortable rest periods in a home environment where the dogs have access to furniture and dog beds for naps. I use dog gates to give space to dogs who might need more rest than others while dogs play. - Toys and treats provided although please bring your dogs own treats if they have any special dietary requirements. A toy or a blanket from home with a familiar scent can also help a dog feel more relaxed in a new environment. - Access to my garden for toilet breaks throughout the day. - Regular photo/video updates throughout the day so you can see what your doggies are up to! Day care hours are 8.30-6pm but please enquire if you need to drop off or collect outside these hours and I will aim to accommodate with overtime added. I may be able to offer collection and drop off from/to your home depending on your location so please let me know if this is something you would need. In addition to my carer services I also offer 1-1 confidence building workshops on weekends for new dog parents who are looking for some basic guidance and training tips. Please enquire for more details!
