My family and I have always been dog lovers. We have always had at least 2 big furry friends in our household even before I started having kids. In the last year, we lost both of our furry family members to age and/or sickness. This left our house lonely. We are not prepared yet to get another puppy, but we have lots of love and hugs to give to one while their owners are away! We have a fenced in back yard, and 3 kids (9, 12, and 18) who are ready to run around, go on walks, or just snuggle on the couch. My 18 year old (who is only at home part-time) and I have gone through the ARL volunteer dog program and have volunteered for many years there. I work full time during the week, but my kids are home after school. I am an active runner, so if your baby needs a run, I could also give him a goo 2-4 miles!
