We were completely at ease knowing Maggie was loved and well taken care of while we were out of town! Lori was very welcoming and asked questions to be sure she knew everything Maggie liked and needed. Maggie got to go on an outing and even slept in bed at Lori’s feet just like she does at home. We definitely recommend Lori to anyone in the Hickory area!

Our mixed Maltese/Yorke (Sugar) needed a place to stay after our veterinarian, who kenneled our last dog while we traveled, informed us that they no longer offered that service. After several disappointing test stays at the large kennels in our area we decided to try a different way. We entered into what felt like an exhaustive search; until we saw Lori’s profile. Her location, house and private fenced back yard all fit in with our goals. So we set up a meet and greet. That went well so we agreed to leave sugar with her during our week long trip. This we know… Lori is an animal lover. She must have spent a lot of quality time with Sugar who learned a cute trick during her say. We call it Lori’s trick, Sugar won’t do it for us. Lori listens and followed our special requests on the needs to sugar’s continued training, feeding and night routine. She kept us informed with notes and pictures which allowed us to relax and enjoy our trip. We highly recommend Lori as a true dog care giver.
