Pet care experience
I grew up on a farm so I’ve had experience with all kinds of animals, but in the house we’ve had dogs, cats, birds, salamanders, Guinea pigs, and turtles. Since moving away from home, many friends and professors here in San Diego have asked me to watch their pets, sometimes for extended periods. I love animals and I understand what a responsibility it is to take care of a member of your family!

My home is cat friendly and I have a large litter box and cat tower plus a few toys and scratching posts available for entertainment. Any pet’s well-being and schedule/take precedence whether in my home or in yours. I always look after fresh food and water depending on your feeding schedule and make sure the pet is comfortable and entertained.

Has your dog had leash training? It is helpful to know so that they don’t take advantage of the fact that I might not know them and I could inadvertently undo some of the hard work you and your pet have done! Also, are they afraid of anything in particular? Not all dogs are comfortable with other people, dogs, or traffic so I would want to avoid that.
A typical day
I am a big fan of dog parks and open grassy areas. If there is a place where we can play fetch or smell all of the trees together, that is my preference. However, we live in San Diego so that isn’t always an option but walks around the neighborhood can also be super fun!

I have a fairly flexible schedule and I am sometimes able to work from home or remotely, but there are days I have to be in the office as well. I am happy to discuss a schedule more specifically that will hopefully work well for everyone!
