Pet care experience
I have a lifetime of experience caring for animals. I grew up with 2 cats and 2 dogs. I work at a dog and cat boarding facility and volunteer my free time with Saved by Zade cat rescue. Throughout my life I have been the go to person for friends, family, and neighbors to choose as their pet sitter. I consider myself a cat whisperer and love senior pets, but adore any age! I can walk your dog, and even your cat (I walk mine on a harness)! I can feed according to their specifics diet and needs. I can give any meds (non-injectable) as I was trained by both Saved by Zade and my current workplace, and I can bathe your pet if needed as well. I 100% understand pet boundaries and body language and have plenty experience with timid animals.

We had Lorelai watch our 2 large dogs for a week. She did a great job. One of the (four legged) boys has some anxiety issues. She took care of the dogs' special needs and never missed a beat.
We asked Lorelai to take care of our pets this last Summer. She stayed in our home and did a fantastic job. We would trust her to take care of our pets any time! It was great peace of mind for us to know that our fur babies were being well cared for, as well as our home. We would recommend Lorelai for any pet care needs!

At this time I am not welcoming client pets into my home. I am available for drop by visits, pet sitting (in the comfort of their own home), and walks. I am flexible and can do what is needed of me. If your dog needs to be in a crate all day (when I am not there) I can do that. If your dog needs to be on a leash while outside, no problem! Any special accommodations I can learn quickly :)

I do not breed discriminate. I think that is just outrageous logic! I do well with pets who have special needs and accommodations. It is important that I am aware of any potential medications, prior medical histories like if they have seizures or reoccurring injuries. Are they diabetic? Are they food aggressive? Are they dog aggressive and lash out at other dogs walking by? All of these are important topics to discuss with me so I can keep myself and your pet safe while you are away.
A typical day
I have previous experience at a dog kennel and working with dogs who need enrichment time and extra brain-stimulating exercises to calm them down. I love to get a dog moving (if they are not seniors with previous injuries) to get their heart pumping so they can burn off energy. I also like to do different puzzle games so they have to sniff out treats and get their brains working. Also, nature walks are very good for this and I will always try to find a good park nearby with trails for extra good sniffing.

Availability
I work a part-time job (dog and cat boarding facility) while attending community college full time (online). I am available almost any weekday mornings and early afternoons (until about 2:30pm). Weekend schedules are tentative.
