Loving & Experienced Pet Sitter!

Pet care experience

hello! :) -I am a recent graduate from KSU with a BA in Zoology! I am currently still available and flexible with house sitting on Rover until I find a job in my career field! -I am very much qualified to feed, walk, and provide medication (if needed) to your pet! I take my care very seriously, very genuinely, and always treat your pet(s) as if they were my own! -I worked at a daycare/boarding center for dogs and cats of all ages (and needs!) for a year and a half during my college career. It was amazing to learn that some jobs can actually make bad days better, and I looked forward to seeing my special fur friends every shift! I have been on Rover for a little over a year, and am also currently employed with a company holding similar responsibilities as Rover, with higher values and requirements. I have personal extensive experience with senior dogs, as I helped my 14 year old girl on a daily basis after I graduated college in December ‘23, up until her tragic loss this past March. -I take pride in being reliable, trustworthy, genuine, and patient! All animals require different things, and I will do anything and everything to make your pets feel loved, safe, and happy while you are away!🌞

Loraine is always flexible and reliable. She made an extra trip to the house when our flight was late. She keeps up with pet updates and cleans up so we never come home to a dirty house. Highly recommend!!

One would have to know the whole story to really "get" what I mean when I say, I simply could not have asked for more. Loraine came to stay with my two dear very senior & divergent neurotic girl dogs. They are very-used-to-me-being there or being away hours. Not 3 days. Loraine won them over, eased their troubled hearts, kept them smiling. I recommend her highly. However high the scale goes, she's right on top.

Loraine did a great job looking after our dogs while we were away. She was communicative and provided tons of photo updates as well!

I will care for your pet(s) in your home how I would want someone to care for mine. It is very important to me that you know your pet(s) are in good hands, as I know how incredibly difficult it is to leave them (even if only for a short period). I will also treat your home with respect, follow any and all requests, and keep it clean and tidy for when you come back! :)

Information Loraine L. would like to know about your pet

The only thing I would like to be warned about regarding your pet(s) is anything of your knowledge that upsets them, and any possible aggressive behavior. Whether it be territorial, protective, possessive, behavioral, food related, or fear related, aggression presents itself in various ways under many circumstances. My biggest concern about any of it would be what to avoid to lessen your pets’ stress, and how to deal with it/calm them down if prevention isn’t possible! I do not discriminate, agree with stereotypes, or pass judgment. All animals deserve the patience and kindness we are willing to give humans for bad days or hard situations- past and present. The effects of their experiences do not reflect on an animal’s character, and no information on your pet(s) will scare me away :)

A typical day

Mental and physical stimulation makes for a happy and healthy pet! I will practice any commands you are trying to teach (if any), I will make 100% sure that your animal(s) gets to play throughout the day, and I will go on walks as long as the weather permits it! I love snuggle bugs but understand and recognize if and when an animal needs space, just like us!

Since I am employed by an organization similar but not exactly like Rover, and I am waiting on a response from a full time job soon, my availability is not as flexible as it once was. I will try my best to keep my calendar on Rover up to date, and am always open to working something out!
