Pet care experience
For 10 years, I have been a professional pet sitter, beginning on Long Island, New York, before heading to South Florida for a more temperate climate. I have in-depth experience taking care of dogs and cats of all ages, from puppies/kittens to seniors. I have also cared for horses, ferrets, tropical fish, many different species of parrots and lizards as well as Chinchillas and guinea pigs. Part of my experience has included administering many different medications, including injecting diabetic cats. Not only have I fostered guinea pigs for Good Karma Reacue, but am active in the rescue community as well as being a volunteer animal transporter when my schedule allows. It is all so rewarding and meaningful. We are saving lives, and I love being a part of it all! I have many references, including law enforcement. Lonni has been our pet sitter for 7 years and I can’t express enough how wonderful she is to our fur babies and to us. She goes above and beyond to communicate, and take care of things for us when we’re away. Once we rescued a special-needs kitten right before we were going on a trip and Lonni stepped in to help provide extra care and keep us updated daily. She’s a true pro who loves what she does. We are crazy pet parents and we do not trust just anyone, but Lonni is amazing, and we trust her explicitly with our precious pups. We were lucky enough to know Lonni when she started her business in the Long Island, NY area. Not only were we able to engage her to take care of our 5 pups overnight (including 1 severely fear-aggressive senior dog and 3 with complicated special health needs) but she was also willing to traveling 3000 miles out of state to care for 2 very scared kitties going thru the loss of their owners. We were devastated when Lonni moved her business to Florida but have been extremely blessed to have been able to arrange opportunities to bring her back to NY to care for our clan when the need has arisen. Her dedication to caring for our pups is second only to our own, and we could not appreciate and respect that more. If your pet is your family and you are hesitant to leave them with just anyone, Lonni should be your first call!!
I have been using Lonni to care for my parrots for a few years now. There are so many things I can recommend and love about her service. She is always quick to respond with any questions. My parrots are so familiar with her and love when she takes them out of their cages and plays with them. She additionally sends me pictures as she is petsitting with them so I am assured they are in good hands. Lonni follows the feeding instructions I leave her and tidies up the area when she leaves. I would not look elsewhere for any petsitting needs. Lonni is the best!!!!

I only work in client's homes, and am personally insured to do so. If anything happens to your animal while in my care, you are covered. Checking all doors and fencing is part of my work to make certain all is safe and secure! Also, when you are away, blinds and lights always adjusted. Garbage bins go in and out on preferred pick up dates. Mail and packages brought in. Additionally, I get to truly know your animals, so I can report if there is a concerning behavior.

I welcome as much information as you can offer. That way, I have insight into any and all behaviors. I specifically ask if there has ever been any aggression towards other animals or people. Also, please no large dogs that pull on walks!
A typical day
A typical day is my going to and from client's homes, adapting to each animal's needs, whether it's a walk in the rain or playing in home! Whatever game they enjoy, I'm game, too! We can take a walk, dip in your pool, and play ball or frisbee! And for kitties, play play play!
