Hello! I am a former professional pet sitter (I worked for Sniffles and Friends Professional Pet Sitters for 4 years, 3 of them as their South Philly/Center City Manager) with a day job in cancer research. I also spent a short time as a vet tech for Paws Plus, a mobile vet clinic. I used to volunteer for PAWS Wellness Clinic in South Philly and have spent the last year volunteering for Pegasus Therapeutic Riding Academy. My home includes my fiance, Alex; Moon Pie, a 6-year old pit mix who loves to play with other dogs and doing tricks for treats; Grampa, a senior mix who was adopted last year and just spends most of his time sleeping; and Pterodactyl, a 8 year old cat with so much patience and snuggles. I have experience will pets of all shapes, sizes, and personalities. Do you have a special needs friend? I able able to give medications, both oral and subcutaneous. I can also help with some basic behavior training. Ask me how many tricks Moon Pie can do! In my home, a typical day with pets begins with wake-up, breakfast time and a morning walk. I head to work and as a bike commuter I have the freedom to come home for lunch (and also have a dog walker who comes midday to take out my pups) if your dog can't go longer than 4 hours without a potty break. After work, the pets get another walk and dinner! We like playtime, going for walks to Cobb's creek, or just perusing around the block. On weekends, I'm home almost all day except for volunteer shifts at Pegasus. I like taking the pups to Wissahickon to splash around in the creek and enjoy trail walks. If your dog doesn't do well in heat or cold weather, we're just as happy spending the day snuggling on the couch! If your dog is friendly with other dogs and cats, there are very few restrictions in my house. Please, no dogs that are not spayed/neutered, and your dog must be up-to-date on vaccinations.
