Pet care experience
My partner Paul and I have been consistently pet sitting here on rover for a year and half and counting and we absolutely could not love it more!! We are open for any kind of pet care/house sitting needs and have plenty of experience with different services, types of animals, big and small dog breeds and even strict medication routines. We pride ourselves on taking care of every single pet as if it were our own🥰 Whether you’re after half hour drop in visits or a month of house sitting we would absolutely love to hear from you and organise a meet and greet to get to know your pet in advance of any care giving so they feel as comfortable with us as possible☺️ we make sure to provide regular photo updates on how your pet is getting on throughout any stays to make you feel at ease too. With the nearly 2 years doing this and over 50 clients we feel we provide an excellent “home away from home” experience to make any pet feel as loved and at home as possible, and we also make sure to only look after 1 households pets at any 1 time both for safety and the best service we can give. A bit more about me… I have had family cats throughout my whole life and family dogs for 15 years. I love them with my whole heart but since moving away from family it has meant I don’t have the opportunity to see them very often and I miss them, hence signing up for Rover so I can carry on loving and caring for animals in a way that works for me☺️ I have also done work experience at a vets surgery so have a bit of hands on experience with how to look after pets in that sense, as well as doing some work experience on a farm (maybe not relevant but shows my love for animals even further). We are happy to look after pets however the owner likes, we understand that all pets are different and react best to different things so we will take on board anything you tell us and the things your pet likes to make sure they feel as at home as possible, even if that’s sleeping in bed with us 🤣

Lois & Paul looked after our two energetic crazy pups for 5 nights - we received loads of lovely photos showing the dogs looking so happy and comfortable, with lots of love and cuddles. The dogs were clearly VERY well looked after and I think they are a little sad to be at home as they’re missing their new friends! Would highly recommend to anyone looking for a home from home for your fur babies!
Lois and Paul did an amazing job looking after Molly! She had plenty of walks and plenty of cuddles. We received lots of updates and pictures, so we were always reassured that she was having a great time. Molly is fed raw food, and Lois was very accommodating in that respect. It can be a bit too much for some, but they got stuck right in. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Lois at all, we would definitely use her services again.
Really lovely people, Paul came to sit with our puppy while she's been crate rest, she loved him and cried when he left on both visits. Really recommend these guys and we will be using them again for sitting and boarding!
Lois was amazing. We had regular updates whilst we were away and lots of photos. Above all Bobby seemed to love it there! So much so he looked a bit sad when he first came home!!! 🤣🤣 We wouldn’t hesitate to use Lois again. It’s so reassuring finding someone who you can trust 100 %

We will always ensure at least 1 of us is with your pet for the entirety of their stay (unless this is an extended stay in which details for leaving them alone will be discussed beforehand). Their safety and happiness is our main priority so if we are available for booking, it means your pet will have 24 hour supervision (most of which will probably be play time and cuddles🥰)

We like to know how much food to feed them and what their usual feeding times are so they stay on their usual home routine. We like to know how they are on walks with other dogs/children/bikes just so we’re aware before we take them. There’ll always be at least one of us home the whole time so potty breaks are as frequently as they need. We also like to know if there’s anything your pet isn’t allowed to do so we don’t introduce any bass habits by accident!
A typical day
A typical day for a dog boarding in our home will involve a lot of playtime, even more cuddles and usually 2 long walks in highwoods country park depending on your dogs needs. We will make sure to feed them at whatever times they are usually fed and send you pictures and updates of everything along the way! If they stay overnight, they’re more than welcome up on our bed or next to us on the floor in theirs if that’s where they feel more comfortable.

Availability
I currently work full time 9-5 but I do have the opportunity to work from home, so I would love to be able to care for someone’s pet while doing this to keep me company! I have an open plan house with an enclosed garden and live in a safe neighbourhood near highwoods country park so perfect for walks!! My partner Paul is a mature student at the Open University and works part time in restaurants so is at home a lot of the time as well to help care for your pet. He has grown up with both family cats and dogs and has even had a litter of German Shepard puppies before.
