Over the past 50 years, I have had Doberman Pinchers more than any other breed, but now have 2 Yorkies, 1 Silky, 1 mixed breed, and a tabby cat that have filled my empty nest. Three of these are rescues. Since retiring from nursing, I have lots of time on my hands to spend doing what I love most which is caring for animals, making quilts, purses, and stuffed animals. I have a large fenced back yard for running and playing. My neighborhood is very dog friendly so walking fur babies is not an issue. My house is large enough that having multiple dogs at once is not a problem. As a rule, I do not use kennels. However, caring for pets that need to limit activity due to medical issues and need to be kenneled are welcomed. I can provide most medical home care procedures, wound care and give medication. I have access to indoor kennels if necessary.. I am home throughout the day so dogs are not left alone for any reason other than an emergencies. I prefer to sit for one family of dogs at a time. Occasionally, overlaps do occur or an emergency could arise when it would be necessary for me to take in an additional pup/s.
