I have 15+ years of pet care experience, taking care of all types of dogs. I was raised with and currently have an English Bulldog who can be incredibly stubborn and needy in terms of care. Other breeds of dogs I have cared for are German Shepherds, King Charles Spaniels, Great Danes, Huskies, Pit Bulls, and many others. I know that each dog is unique and thus comes with its own needs or quirks. I am very knowledgeable about de-escalation practices when it comes to dog encounters, whether that be dogs getting off-leash, high-energy or high-tension situations, and even potentially aggressive or violent situations. In addition, I am very careful when it comes to a dog's health and would make sure to be fully prepared for any event on walks or runs. I am also happy to work with your dog on leash training and better walk habits. I am currently job hunting for a full-time position. I have a masters in public administration from Seattle University, so let me know of any public sector job leads! --My prior role was in civilian oversight of the Seattle Police Department, working at the Seattle Community Police Commission as the Data and Policy Strategic Advisor. I was working with impacted communities of police violence to suggest reforms to SPD policy and to oversee federally mandated changes to the department. However, upon the hiring of a new executive director, I was told I was not allowed to communicate with the general public. I was then fired without warning or explanation roughly a month later. I have a Female English Bulldog who is very easy-going, but she is also an alpha. Because I do not plan on boarding or offering overnight stays at my house, I do not plan on my dog meeting those that I walk.
