Pet care experience
I’ve taken care of my roommates dog for the past year. He gets seizures sometimes and is getting up in years, so I have gained a lot of experience in giving medicine to him. I’ve also gained experience in bathing dogs as sometimes his seizures leave him messy. I love to go on runs and I am fit enough to take a dog on a run if that is something they need and/or want. In case someone is using this app for birds, I’ve had pet birds since I was 8, so I know very well about cleaning their cage, feeding them, and playing with them.

I have had Logan watch my dog (10y/o min goldendoodle) that has seizures and anxiety, and he did wonderfully accommodating my dogs various needs, medications, feeding plans, and exercise needs. Not only that, but my dog loves when Logan watches him.

I don’t take pets to stay at my apartment since I already have a dog, and while he is friendly, I don’t want to create any unexpected incidences where they may not get along or one gets too anxious with the new presence. In terms of my clients’ homes, whatever standard they set I will follow. As a baseline, I’ll make sure they are walked and fed as much as they usually are under your care, and I’ll spend some time playing fetch with them, petting them, or taking them on longer walks or a run if they are able and you would like that.

Let me know if there are any specific needs or unusual requests so that I can best serve you and care for your pets. Things such as medicine, if they need to be in a certain room when I leave, if they need more quiet settings, etc.
A typical day
I will take them on walks throughout the neighborhood or even a trail such as Jemison or Lakeshore. I like to run, so if your dog is able to run for a while and you approve, I will take them on a run. Additionally, i'll do simple things like playing fetch or petting them & giving them attention inside the house.

I walk my roommates dog 3x a day. He is potty trained so he goes to the door if he needs to again, but the minimum is always 3. He has some nightly medicines I give him and I always make sure I spend time to play with him so he isn’t lonely or bored
