Pet care experience
I have taken care of dogs ever since I was little. I got my own dog when I was 9 and trained her all of the basic skills. I’m am very active and can take your dogs on walks and runs. I am a fairly busy with school, so short check ins are preferable during the week. Dogs that are able to come with me on runs or hikes would also be great! I cannot board dogs in my home, but I can offer daily runs and walks in the neighborhood or on many of the amazing trail systems around.

I always like to make sure the dog is comfortable with my presence. Having a backyard is nice as some nervous dogs don’t like people touching them around their collar or putting their harness on. I’ve done both and especially if the dog needs to be on leash before going out I suggest doing a meet and greet before the visits start.

It’s important for me to know any mannerisms of your dog and how they interact with other dogs and humans. If I can take them on trail or to parks, I need to know if they have any problems with specific dogs or type of person. I would also like to know their commands and how to get them to respond and listen.
A typical day
I like to go on walks and runs. I typically just go around the neighborhood, or on the river. I also like to play with any toys the dog likes, specifically tug of war.

I am a college student so I have classes, labs, volunteering, and internships among other activities during the week. I can usually offer to let dogs out early in the morning, right at noon, or in the evening.
