Lifelong Animal Lover

Pet care experience

I grew up with pets of all sorts. Dogs, cats, exotics. I am currently completing a bachelor of science in biology in order to apply to vet school in the coming year. I have worked with animals professionally in many capacities, including kennel work, canine rehab, shelter medicine, and vaccine clinics. I pride myself in my ability to read animal’s body language and understand what they are trying to tell me. It is so important to me to ensure that fear and stress are minimized during all interactions with your pet.

Lizzy was great!! The boys loved her and got lots of cuddles on a rainy day. She even helped out and vacuumed! I highly recommend her!

Lizzy was amazing! Sent pics and updates throughout the weekend, was very reliable, and even went above and beyond our expectations by starting laundry and vacuuming up all the dog hair! ? Will definitely use Lizzy again and highly recommend her!

Safety, trust & environment

I make sure that any animals in my care are receiving appropriate exercise and diet according to owner’s specifications, as well as provide any additional care they may need due to age, ability, etc. I pride myself in my ability to provide a low-stress environment for your pet, paying very close attention to their body language and what they’re trying to tell me. Gaining your pets’ trust is my first priority, as it will make our time together the most fun it can be!

Information Lizzy R. would like to know about your pet

Any special needs, medical conditions, preferences for how your pet should interact with myself, others, and your home. If you don’t want them on the furniture or to have snacks, those are important things to know! Does your dog like other dogs, or should I cross the street if we encounter them? These are all helpful for me as a sitter.

A typical day

Assuming your pet and I have established a good relationship, I can tailor my visit to their needs. Before putting your pet into a strange environment I would prefer to establish trust with them so as not to overwhelm them.
