Pet care experience
I've always had pets growing up. I've had dogs, cats, birds, fish, gerbilles, you name it. I've been taking care of pets for friends and family since high school. In college it became a good way to make some money on the side. Neighbors, friends and family have asked me to house sit for them and watch their animals. My responsibilities have included giving medication to pets, walking, feeding and bathing. I am comfortable with all breeds and love cats as well!

Lizzy did a great job watching our 4 dogs in our home while we went out of town! She provided daily updates and pictures, which we loved! We will definitely be using her again in the future!
Lizzy did a great job doing drop ins for Maverick my puppy lab. Plenty of photo updates and he was well taken care of in my absence. Greatly appreciated, will definitely rebook if needed.

One thing that is very important to me is talking with the pet owners about what they are comfortable with in regards to their pets. Some owners have fenced in yards where their dog can run around freely, others don't and require more attention. Regardless, my job is to interact and play with the pet, not just watch it. I love to go on walks with pets and take them to parks if the owner allows it. Each pet is different and will require different needs, that's why talking with the owner is so important.

Let me know if your pet has any special needs ahead of time. This includes medications that need to be taken. I do not mind administering medications but I do prefer to meet the pet ahead of time and see the owner administer the medication first.
A typical day
I love to go on walks with dogs and take them to the dog parks! Since I live near the beach, I can take pets there to enjoy the water and play in the sand if the owners allow it! I have lots of stuffed animals for dogs to chew on and balls to throw with them1

Availability
I am currently working as a driver for Uber Eats which lets me work when I want to and for how long. This means I am able to tailor my schedule around the needs of my clients rather than working it around my own work schedule. I have family obligations on Sunday morning but am available the rest of the day!
