Pet care experience
I grew up with dogs in the family home, after persuading my mum to take in an amazing but mischievous rescue collie cross. I've looked after a variety of dogs in my home for over 5 years - from miniature daschunds to spaniels, cockapoos, labradors and greyhounds, so I have a good understanding of the needs of different breeds. I generally only take one dog (or a pair if smaller size) for daycare/boarding so I can provide a personalised experience in a relaxed and quiet home. We don't have any other pets or children and I'm a part-time freelance writer who works at home so can be flexible around walk schedules etc- we are also keen runners so can cater for the more energetic dog! Please note that whilst I take larger (labrador size) dogs, I generally only take those over 2 years for day care and overnight boarding.

This was the first time that Hamish had been left with anyone other than a family member. He was very pleased to see Lizzie. She is very caring and sent me an update to say he was OK and they had been for a long walk which I'm sure he enjoyed. I will be very happy to leave him with Lizzie again and have a made a couple of future bookings.
Pip seemed to have a very lovely day with Lizzie - enjoying a fabulous long walk. Will definitely book him in again!

A typical day
After time for an initial explore and sniff around the house, I like to go straight out for a walk as this usually helps the dog to settle down. The schedule then depends on the dog and amount of exercise needed, but then we would generally do some relaxing in the house before another walk on or after lunchtime, followed by some play time/snoozy time as required.

Availability
I'm currently working part-time on a flexible basis, so will have planty of time to look after your dog. I like to go for long walks at the weekend and on days off my regular work so happy to have an active dog
