Pet care experience
I have strong experience with animals due to my experience as a vet assistant and receptionist in TX. As well as my many years being an animal foster for Dallas Pets Alive!. I have experience with medical cases, puppies and seniors. I’m confident administering meds (injections and pills), working with difference behaviors, preferences and overall matching my approach to the animal’s needs.

Lizzie is fantastic. We knew she was the perfect person to watch our aging pup the moment we met her. She’s clearly competent working with dogs of varying ages, sizes, and temperaments. She was in daily contact, so we felt assured our girl was in good hands the whole time we were away. Knowing she could handle any possible pet emergency was a huge relief. We arrived home to a clean house and a happy pup. Highly recommend and hope to book again!
Lizzie is an excellent caretaker! She watched my 3 cats and 3 dogs and (despite our one cat’s efforts to absolutely terrorize her) she took amazing care of them. She loved on our dogs and slept in the bed with them and made sure our special needs kitty was eating and not getting beat up by his kitty siblings. I love that she is an experienced foster and former veterinary receptionist as well; it adds an extra level of comfort knowing that she knows what she’s doing and what to watch out for.

Part of this will depend on how the owner prefers interactions but mostly I treat my visits and care as a fun but comfortable time. Animals should feel safe no matter what and if that included pets, belly rubs or treats I can do that but if they prefer space, low contact and a quiet environment I can do thah too. I adapt to the animals needs as best as possible.

A typical day
For me, it’s finding what makes the pet happy. Fetch? Lots of sniffing? Those favorite things will be the focus first. Otherwise I enjoy finding new routes or places for the dogs so they can take in new sights and smells to enrich their brains.

I currently work two jobs, each part time. This allows me to do morning and night shifts for animal care and overnight stays when needed.
