Growing up we always had at least 1 dog in the family. I got my first puppy Beau when I was 8. My parents wanted to make sure we knew how to take care of our animals so I learned early on how to care for a dog. After college, having my own dog was not realistic with my work and travel schedule, so I made up for that by watching a number of friends and family members dogs when they are out of town. I love going on long walks, which is always more fun when I dog is involved.

Lizzie is the best!! So easy going and super capable of handling any dog. She took great care of my senior dog, and she was incredibly understanding when my flight was delayed late and we had to pick our dog up the next day instead. She also sent incredible photos and had updates for us each day! Highly recommend.
Lizzie is the best! She was very communicative and always treated simba with love. She sent updates multiple times a day! Simba loves her and I would definitely rebook with her!

My loft is all completely open outside of the bathroom which is the only space with a door. We have an area for a crate in the bedroom, as well as multiple areas to place your fur babies bed if needed. I work from my desk which is in the middle of the main room so its easy to keep an eye on any fur visitors. I also allow dogs on the couch which is right next to my desk.

Please let me know if there are any special considerations for your fur baby - number of walks/mileage needed throughout the day, cadence of potty breaks, etc. My loft is completely open, including the bedroom closet, so if your dog likes to chew shoes, I would need to know that so we can block off the bedroom.
A typical day
There are a number of dog parks close by where I can take your pup to engage with other dogs. I am a big walker and live a little less than a mile from the lake, so big walks along the lake can be part of the plan for long walk dogs. Additionally we do have a car, so if you have and are able to provide what you use in your car to transport your dog (i.e. back seat sling) a trip to the dog beach to play fetch in the water or another park your dog loves could be arranged!

I currently work full time from my home (condo on the 6th floor of an elevator building) in River North. My schedule during the day allows for me to take a fur visitor out for a few potty breaks as well as a big lunch walk if requested. My boyfriend lives with me so overnight boarding is easy as we tag team early AM or later evening potty breaks or walks.
