Pet care experience
We have taken care of a wide range of dog breeds, ages and needs throughout the years. We both volunteered at Orange County Animal Services where we had the opportunity to interact with a number of different dogs and was able to learn to quickly build trust with them, understand their body language and meet their needs. We foster senior dogs with various medical needs for a local rescue and therefore have experience administering medicine and providing the love and care a slower paced dog may need. We have raised our own dogs from when they were puppies and so also have experience with dogs from 8 weeks of age and all of the fun that comes with them. We are happy to help continue to positively reinforce any training goals that you have for them, from sit, to place, stay off the furniture (or jump up here and give me a cuddle!) - consistency is key for young pups and we are happy to help with this whilst they are hanging out with us! Each dog is unique and we love getting to know them and their personalities - if we get to spend time with your pup we will be sure to give them all the same love and care that our own boys get.

Liza and Nathan were excellent care givers for our pups. We have high energy heelers and they were very cautious about introducing the dogs to their own (which went great) and very good about them getting their energy out. They also asked how many updates I’d like which I appreciated. It was a great experience. Would definitely recommend.
I have never been happier or more at ease with the care that Nathan and Liza have our puppies. I am actually eager to plan my next vacation knowing that we have them to provide the ultimate care for our two babies. Thank you for going above and beyond to give our family so much love and attention!!
This was our first time using Rover services. We are so glad we found Liz and Nathan. Before approving our booking they asked for a meet up to make sure they were the right fit, we appreciated that so much. We booked them due to a last minute trip to lay my grandfather ashes in its final resting place. It was a hectic trip filled with delayed flights but they kept in contact and provided updates the entire time. They also kept our Kylo engaged with fun games . They were extremely patient and professional. Will definitely book again
Liza and Nathan did an awesome job taking care of our dog. They were very responsive and kept us in the loop during her entire stay. We will use them again for sure and would recommend Liza and Nathan to anyone.

- We never leave dogs together unattended. Our boys are both crate trained and your pup will have their own room and gated off area within the home when we are not with them to supervise interaction or if they simply want some of their own space at any time. - We only board one family at a time, there is enough newness for a pup to explore in our home without trying to navigate other dogs that we are not familiar with. - We spend our time at home sofa snuggling, exploring the fenced yard, playing with puzzle toys and if it’s hot then we get the splash pad out. - We will keep you updated once a day with pictures and a report of what we have been up to, unless you request otherwise. The exception of course being if your pup exhibits any behaviours that we think you should be aware of immediately.

It is important that we know any quirks your dog may have, we want them to be as happy and comfortable during their stay with us and knowing their particular ways will help us with that. Does your dog like to be pet in a particular place? Do they dislike their ears being touched? Do they take treats gently or are they a chomper? Do they prefer to stop and sniff everything on a walk or plough on towards their destination? Do they bark for attention or is that them telling us they need to go outside? We have two dogs of our own so knowing your dogs play style and preferences helps us to know how best to manage their interactions. Additionally any food preferences or dietary requirements, we have an array of treats at our house which your pup is welcome to share but only if it’s not going to upset their tummy or interfere with their diet.
A typical day
We love to explore all the sights and smells out in the yard, we back onto a conservation area so there’s plenty of interest to observe, both from the yard and on walks with plenty of sniff stops. Practising obedience and tricks keeps our pups mentally stimulated, after which there is plenty of opportunity for snuggles or quite time.

Availability
What your pup (and you) can expect when you board with us - Both of us work full time outside of the home, we try to ensure that our schedules do not overlap too much, but on certain days your pup will be at home for up to 6 hours without a human. If your dog has exhibited separation anxiety in the past we may not be the best fit for you.
