Liz was timely and was able to take my gal Cami for a walk on short notice! I will use her again.

Liz was amazing. I’m so happy I found her. She is dependable and honest, and is great with cats. She sent updates every day with photos and a brief description of how molly was doing. I will continue to use her while traveling and would highly recommend her without hesitation to anyone looking for a caring person that will love your pets as if they were her own.

Liz is fantastic! This was my first time using Rover/ leaving my cat in the care of someone who isn’t a close friend so I was pretty nervous but Liz was honestly the best. She sent pictures everyday and left detailed check ins. Would and literally have been recommending her to friends! Thank you, Liz!

Thanks Kate - Peter and I had fun hanging out - and I think my butt is a bit more toned this ...

Home full-time, long walks Downtown

In addition to having dogs as pets when I was a child, I have done pet sitting before and really enjoyed the experience. Last year I spent a month looking after Huxley the dog in Brisbane, Australia. Prior to that I had five other dog sit families in Los Angeles, some repeated, as I figured out the different areas of town and made preparations to move over here.

I decided that maybe I could combine ...

What Liz would like to know about your dog

I don't have any breed preferences at all because they are all fabulous! I guess I would just like to know the usual things, if there are any activities that make them anxious or aggressive, how they behave with other dogs, have they ever bitten anyone? How do they travel (car and metro)? I also like to know if they are usually allowed on furniture at home so I can try to set the same environment and make this as much of a home away from home as possible. We don't usually allow dogs on the bed, but if the dog is already adapted to sleeping in bed with owners, then we can be flexible.

I generally assume that dogs are fine with being left in the house on their own for up to 6-8 hours (honestly, it's very rare that it would be that long). While we do work from home, of course we also leave the house from time to time! If this is going to create anxiety for a dog then let's chat about what is needed.

When Liz watches your pet

I am happy to adapt our activities depending on preferences and specific needs, but in general I aim to take dogs out walking for at least a good hour and a half each day, leaving the house at least 3-4 times per day. We have a dog park close by so they can go there if owners are comfortable with that or there are the regular parks where they can go and stay on the lead. When possible, I will go for longer hikes around LA and maybe over to the dog beach (I would keep them on the lead unless owners were very confident they will not run away).
