Home is where the Doggy is!

Pet care experience

*Please bear in mind that new licence regulations mean any new dog who wants to stay more than 3 nights must do a trial night first before a longer booking can be confirmed. Therefore I am unable to accept new clients for last minute stays of longer than 3 nights* We are a dog loving family. We have a Cavachon "Poppy" who loves cuddles, snuggles, playtime and walkies. Poppy goes to other dog sitters via Rover when we go on holiday and she loves making new doggie friends. We thought it would be nice to offer a loving family home for other doggies ourselves. Poppy is very much part of the family and visiting dogs would become equally part of the family, loved and cuddled by our two daughters who are secondary school age. I am home during the day and evening as a stay at home mum so the dogs have plenty of time and attention, I walk every day across the farm with my own dog, so visiting dogs will get plenty of exercise and cuddles. I am only able to accept non shedding anti allergy dogs due to family allergies. If you aren’t sure if I can take your breed of dog, please do message me. I am not able to offer a collection service. I am a stay at home mum so I have plenty of time to devote to the doggies in my care. They usually end up following me round the house as i do chores. I have a secure fenced garden and supervise the dogs when playing outside. I feed the dogs in their own space in the kitchen away from each other and supervise them while eating so don’t eat each other’s food. Our dog has a sensitive tummy so I know this can be a problem for some dogs.

Liz and her family were very warm, friendly and accommodating with Buddy’s stay and boarding from the moment I got in touch for two last minute stays in her home. Liz was extremely organised and the attention to detail with his stays was very comforting. I received a number of updates throughout the day with photos and videos. Buddy was clearly having a lovely time! I really appreciated Liz’s swift communication and patience with Buddy, it was much appreciated. I would highly recommend Liz. Thank you!

A typical day

Every morning we walk for an hour through the farm. In winter months we all come back a little muddy so the dogs get washed off in the bath with nice warm water. Then the dogs get breakfast if they haven’t eaten already. Usually the dogs like to nap after all that fun. I am then home doing chores, playing with the dogs, chilling out cuddle time with the dogs and plying ball in the garden with the dogs.
