Calm, Caring, Competent

Pet care experience

I've volunteered as a dog walker for the Atlanta Humane Society and have experience owning and training high-energy, high-anxiety, and high-maintenance dogs. From pups to seniors, I love them all!

Liz has cared for and worked with dogs of all temperaments. Shy or nervous rescue dogs are no problem! She has had multiple experiences with difficult dogs, and has been able to keep them safe, stress-free and fulfilled mentally and physically. She is always mindful of the dogs’ needs, including meals, potty time, medications, play time, and is able to anticipate potential problems such as dog aggression, leash reactivity, destructive energy etc. Having grown up with numerous pets, she has developed a wealth of knowledge, experience and genuine care and warmth for all dogs. Liz has shown she can handle a wide variety of dogs: puppies / seniors, high / low energy, timid / outgoing, small / giant breeds, etc. I am positive Liz will be able to tend to your dog and his/her specific needs. She will treat your dog as if he/she were her own! As a person, Liz is patient, outgoing, accommodating, and communicative. She has always responded to me in a timely manner.

Liz has been an animal and pet lover since childhood. She has cared for many cats, hamsters, mice!!! and dogs, including my current very anxious, sweet, strong pitty mix. She has assisted in training my difficult dog, and keeps the dog safe and calm while on excursions.

As a drop-in service, I am happy to supervise meals, meds, and potty breaks. As a dog walker, I can schedule up to a mile at a time. When working with new dogs, I am firm yet caring - I will respect your expectations but will maintain compenent control of the dog.

Information Liz T. would like to know about your pet

Please provide a detailed job description of the expected task - (30-minute walk/ feeding instructions/ etc...) as well as a personality description of the dog, so I can know how to best behave to make them feel comfortable. I know from experience that dealing with an anxious or aggressive dog requires specific comportment from eth beginning to ensure the best experience for me and the dog!

A typical day

I love walks, hikes, trails, and adventures! I live near the Chattahoochee River and I love to take my dog on the wooded trails around us. I am a big fan of fetch, tug-of-war, and simple obedience training for treats.
