Pet care experience
Hi there, my name is Liz! I am bonded, insured, Pet CPR and first aid certified. I’ve had dogs all my life- from small American eskimos and chihuahuas to giant bull mastiffs. I love dogs and cats of all breeds, temperaments, sizes, energy levels, and ages. I have a lot of experience caring for dogs and cats from my time working at Petsmart’s PetHotel where I ran doggy day camp during the day and also cared for pets overnight. I also have experience with dog training having completed all 3 levels offered at Petsmart with 4 different dogs. I have my own two dogs, Zelda and Chewbacca, who are spoiled rotten, but extremely well-behaved and very loved! For the last 5 years I have cared for dogs in my home (boarding and daycare) as well as providing drop-in services for both dogs and cats and have loved every minute of it! Thank you so much for checking out my profile and I am so honored to have been trusted to care for so many special, furry, family members! I look forward to having the opportunity to care for yours!
Reviews
Liz is incredibly professional and communicative. You can tell she takes this very seriously and cares very much about the wellbeing of your pet and your comfort. She went above and beyond to help me when I extended my trip away and went out to get more food for my dogs and facilitated my friend picking them up from her. She is very thoughtful and I highly recommend her!
Liz was absolutely great! This was my first time having my dog away from home for an extended period of time and I was worried, but Liz helped give me all the updates and many pictures (which I love!) every day which helped ease my anxiety. My big boy (he’s a Great Dane!) got super comfortable with her and her family, which is all I can ask for! She was also super flexible and understanding when I had to adjust pick up times due to having a bad travel day with delayed/missed flights. I really appreciate her and definitely recommend her if you are looking to have your pup boarded!
Amazing! Sent so many pictures and kept me updated, and Archie had such a great time. Was my first time using rover and I wasn’t ever worried, he was definitely in good hands.
It was my first time using Rover, and I had the pleasure of entrusting my beloved furry friend with Liz, and I must say that my experience was absolutely outstanding! Liz's exceptional care, attentiveness, and genuine love for dogs left me feeling confident and at ease throughout my time away. It was evident that Liz's own pups were well-trained and had a positive influence on my dog's behavior as well. Throughout my absence, Liz kept me informed with regular updates, including pictures and videos of my dog enjoying their time with her and her other pup’s. Thank you! Misty had a great time!

I love getting to take dogs for walks and am comfortable with those who may not have the best leash manners. I use positive reinforcement to encourage good walking habits. For drop-in’s, I am happy to perform all pet care tasks in your home. I am very familiar with crating dogs (even the less enthusiastic participants), administering medication, changing bandages and applying ointment, following strict food preparation/feeding schedules and care instructions. If you have a dog that loses their appetite when boarded/when you leave, I’m happy to add a tummy safe food topper, cook them rice, or hand feed. I can also offer frozen kong treats using peanut butter, pumpkin or rice and treats to keep your pup entertained during the day or night. For boarding, your dog must be other dog friendly and child friendly. I have a 2 year old and a 5 year old that have been raised around dogs and I do not tolerate any untoward behavior from my children towards animals. The dogs are never left unsupervised, my children are taught gentle touch, giving the dogs space and respecting boundaries. I only board one family of dogs at a time to ensure the highest quality of care and attention. The dogs are allowed on the furniture, and are crated at night if that is what they are used to. I can also provide them a dog bed either downstairs or in my room and crate my own dogs if your dog(s) are not used to a crate or you prefer them to be left out. I have a fenced in yard that is checked daily for debris, and cleared of dog waste. I also have a dog pool and a variety of toys including enrichment activities. My home is vacuumed daily and I use a steam mop for maximum cleanliness and minimum chemicals. I also use pet safe cleaning products like Mrs Meyers, Dawn dish soap, and ensure there are no unsafe plants or toxic foods that they could have access to. Safety is my number one priority and my goal is to make sure your fur baby is as loved as possible while you are away.

Information Liz P. would like to know about your pet
Let me know of any dietary restrictions, special modifications to foods, specific requests, or behaviors to look out for. I am familiar with preparing pet foods in a variety of ways and even hand feeding if that is necessary. If you have multiple pets, please specify if they need to be fed separately or have any kind of food aggression. It’s very common and I have no issue handling it, it’s just best to be forewarned.
A typical day
Go out for an immediate potty break, back in for meal or treat time, play with a favorite toy, tons of cuddles/pets (if desired- some dogs can be standoff-ish which I definitely understand). I have a collection of durable (and washable) toys such as a ChuckIt and various size kongs. I am constantly adding to inventory to make sure I can keep different pets engaged. Upon completion of the visit, I will secure your pet(s) and home to your specifications. No one wants a vulnerable home or the anxiety of a loose pet.
