Pet care experience
My passion for taking care of dogs allows me the companionship, you the convenience, and for them a safe, active, "happy dog" environment with gentle, motivating, positive, firm and effective guidance. Throughout my 40 plus years of experience I have worked at a rural veterinarian clinic while in high school, in animal medical clinics throughout college, and as an Animal Control Officer in a Midwest college town... all the while honing the skills that provide for the well-being, safety, and happiness of your pet. After saying goodbye to Lucy, my four-legged teacher of 16 years, we were’t planning on adopting TWO Great Pyrenees mix rescue puppies (well, they’ll always be puppies to me!). Having these two big girls keeps me busy and able to accept at best 2 smaller-sized (up to 15 lbs) or one medium (16 - 40 lbs) borders at this time.
Reviews
Liz was GREAT at communicating and accommodating my short notice plans. She gave daily updates with photos and videos and took my dog on nice long walks. I knew he was in good hands and felt at ease leaving him behind for the weekend. Highly recommend her!
Liz was awesome! She has the perfect setup for my border collie. I was stress free and happy to leave her in good hands. Thank you Liz!
We’ve used Liz several times. Our dog always has a great stay with her. He’s excited to see her when he sees her again!
Liz did a great job! She treats my dogs just like they were her own. She sends pics everyday. I have the utmost confidence in leaving my cherished loved ones in her care.

Information Liz M. would like to know about your pet
Pet's preferred veterinarian information, records of shots, proof of flea protection and any health issues of concern. List of dietary and medical requirements. It is good to have an emergency contact and back-up person on file. Knowledge of behavior is helpful: jump fences, barker, digger?
A typical day
With 3 of our five acres fenced, we provide lots of free-range sniffing and exercise. There’s also plenty of room for lounging... and sleeping arrangements will be in-house, with us. We are also located south of Deception Pass State Park, close to miles of trails and beaches.
