Great with anxious + nervous dogs!
Pet care experience
Hi there! I've lived with and taken care of dogs for several years in the past. For past two and a half years, I helped my partner take care of Bobby, a VERY anxious 60 lb Shepherd mix, who needed medication, loved to give lots of licks, and calmed down specifically to jazz music. Ollie was a small (40 lb) shepherd mix, with a high prey drive -- while she'd try to get pets from anyone and everyone, we'd usually avoid other dogs on walks so she wouldn't get leash aggressive. Sadly, I've since moved away and can't have a dog in my current apartment, so I'd love to spend time with yours! I promise I'll be like the loving dog auntie your pet has always wanted. I'm patient, caring and responsible, and I'll do my absolute best to keep you and your pet happy and taken care of! I'm also covid safe, having been vaccinated and double boosted. Please do let me know if you have any special needs, requests, or questions at all! I am currently a grad student with a very flexible schedule! I have openings every day of the week, and can work with you to find a good time. I always follow whatever rules and procedures you may have for your pet, and always make sure to be respectful of your home as well!

Thanks so much Liz! Stu loves hanging out with you!
Liz was a wonderful person to have watch our dog Uma for almost 2 weeks! Uma is a particular dog and can get quite anxious, but Liz was extremely patient with her and communicative with us that we felt very reassured. She kept Uma's needs a priority and asked to make sure without making assumptions. Not only did she send us daily photos and/or videos, she also made a very sweet holiday and new years card featuring Uma :') We couldn't have asked for a more thoughtful dog and apartment sitter! Definitely recommend Liz for anyone who wants to feel like their pet is well taken care of while away. We will be in touch when we are out of town again in the future- thank you Liz! Uma misses you already!
Our little guy Stu was very happy to have Liz back to spend the day with him! She is attentive and goes the extra mile to make him feel comfortable. Thanks Liz!
Liz is amazing. She stayed with our dog Stu at our home for 10 days while we were on an international trip. Her constant updates (sprinkled with humor) and her genuine interest in his behavior was a huge relief for us since it was the first time we’d left him with a sitter who wasn’t family. She clearly was invested in making sure he was comfortable - and also that we were comfortable. In addition to taking such good care of Stu, Liz left our house cleaner than when we left it, which was very nice after a long trip. I can’t recommend her enough. Thank you Liz!

I do not personally board pets, but prefer to keep them in their homes, where they're most comfortable. I think this helps ensure that they have the best experience possible while you're away.
Information Liz M. would like to know about your pet
If your dog has any special needs or medications, how they are socially, and if there's anything that triggers their fears. Of course, I always ask where their sweet scratch spot is!
A typical day
I love taking dogs to places where they get to smell all the new smells! I think parks are great, or any place with grass so they can roll around. I'm mindful of when a dog is more skittish, or aggressive, to steer clear of other dogs we see along the way.

Availability
I'm currently working from home with a very flexible work schedule, so I'm available to be there for your pet. This is especially helpful if your pet has a daily routine that you'd like to stick to, as I'll most likely be able to accommodate.
